I won the freaking UCL, I don't think I'll ever top this lol Beat Madrid 3-0 away in the first leg of the quarters, immediately went down 2-0 at home in the second leg, but ended up winning 5-3 on agg. Played Newcastle in the semis, won 2-0 at home and 1-2 away to win 3-2 on agg In the finals I beat Aston Villa (??????) 3-0 despite getting out xG'd like 3-1. Love to get the chance to FM the computer in a cup final for a change.

How are you handling rotation with all the midweek fixtures? I've always felt like I don't quite get that right, but I might just be paranoid about fitness level and guys are actually fine starting more games(albeit at the cost of the happiness of depth players) its difficult since this is really my first year playing continental football, so my guys arent used to it. I didnt really come into it with a plan, i assumed id get bounced out of the UCL ASAP, but i kept winning, so i've had to rotate in league games, which probably explains why im 6th in the league this year instead of 4th. the upshot is i should still be in europe next year and i've made almost $40m off the champions league wins so far, so it's been worth it.

would it worry you if i told you i knew the name of your editor in northd dakota? The sports editor, the main editor, or are you thinking of Katie Pizza? I don't even remember the actual editors' names. I just remember they both hated me. Most of my bosses forever have hated me because of what I now know is the autistic hyperfixation/burnout cycle. It's a little like manic-depressive. I get hyperfixated on my career, I do amazing work, give great interviews, talk myself into new and better jobs. A few months later I'm burnt out, the hyperfixation disappears, and I can literally barely drag myself in every day to click around on the computer screen and retype some press releases to avoid getting fired immediately. I always thought there was a vibe between me and Katie Pizza, but I was married at the time and would never press the issue. A few years later my then-wife cheated with a work buddy and I feel like I should get a re-do on that one. katie pizza baby! best name in the business

Again, that's the joke. Lol. Oops. Missed that part while skimming though. Who was involved in the GoT spoilers then. Related to spoilers but I seem to remember someone spoiling when Rita died in Dexter in a Game Thread because someone used to have the name Dexter Morgan (17 Seconds maybe?). i think kyle emailed me spoilers and i blamed sully and blocked him lol

I finished 4th and made the champions league ... gonna be hilarious to see what my group looks like OK, my first three matches in the UCL (under the new format where you're all in one giant pod, etc) Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 win, beat their ass, had like 29 shots A team i can't remember 1-1 draw, outplayed them but gave up a late equalizer PSG 1-0 HOME WIN I still can't believe it. my LW scored a goal in the 12th minute, real nice bender from just inside the box, then i just stymied PSG the rest of the match. Mbappe did nothing and the only real chance they had was $255m signing (seriously) Moukoko getting stymied in the last minute of stoppage by my 21 year old keeper. Moukoko's transfer fee alone would constitute my budget for a decade lmao

honestly yeah. the hardcore fm guys like to rage about tactics that get broken from version to version but im not anywhere good enough to notice the difference. I still play a premier league save from fm20 and outside of a few small quality of life changes, there's not much difference between versions, and certainly not much difference between 22 and 23.
