  1. David's said several times something to the effect of "a-ha, this says so much about you" in recent days, but I'm going to let you in on the not-so-secret that really does explain everything: I find me hilarious, which is why it really doesn't bother me if nobody else does. *tips fedora* *spins and walks away* *trips when sandals strap comes loose*
  2. the cubs making the playoffs is like moving to bumfuck, nowhere to work for a woman named katie pizza
  3. any time kyle is being positive about the cubs it's only so later on when something goes wrong he can feel bad about letting the team get his hopes up. he's the worst and everyone needs to stop pretending he's people
  4. This is the kind of empty promise crap that bothers me. You can't realistically make promises like that. what a pathetic thing to whine about
  5. So CT doesn't grasp what a "homophobe" is ....
  6. I've always been more negative than the average fan, yes. That's a good thing. Edit: If you go back to like 2002 I went by IvyEmpire and was convinced that we were going to be awesome forever thanks to Jim Hendry's farm system. OK. Cool. It just seems like nothing is ever good in your eyes and you can't enjoy or have fun. But I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to my team, so I have issues as well. He's only having fun when he's thinking about how sad his life is and he realizes it makes other people feel awkward.
  7. It has something called a "Shawn Tolleson" as #2 in the AL. Colin McHugh? Yeah, he's in. But no Dallas Keuchel or David Price in the AL's TOP TEN????
  8. legit had no idea jared allen was still in the league
  9. No, it's because they were aggressively, stupidly wrong. Not because they disagreed with whoever you autistic lifeless goon
  10. I can't stop thinking about that game then I realize it's still a week away.JUST START NOW PLAYOFFS! That's how I am. I couldn't even bring myself to really turn on last night's game until i realized arrieta was perfect through 4
  11. Mark Derosa eviscerated Papelbon this morning, it was beautiful. Griping about relievers hanging out in the dugout until the 5th inning and eating sandwiches and getting rub downs until they decide to go watch some of the game. Then Mike Stanton called into the mlb radio morning show, which is generally good to quite good, and ripped HARPER OF ALL PEOPLE. "The Nats will never win if Harper is their leader." "Even if its an easy popup he should run, maybe not 100 percent but at least 60 percent would be ok"
  12. That can't be right. 21 - 6 = 15 http://i.imgur.com/CkMbICD.gif what if replacement level is a 7.5 win pitcher :-k what kind of math is that common core jeez obama got to are robots to
  13. I was taking some [expletive] from a Cardinals fan last Friday (How does it feel to be about to win 90 games and know you're still third in your own division,) (You know they're going to get into the one-game and then lose, they're the cubs) etc, and I mean, I dunno, it doesn't really bother me so I just laugh, haha, yeah good one, loveable losers, etc. And then he said "well I used to be a red sox fan but I switched to the cardinals after the whole beer and fried chicken thing" and I knew I had a new mortal enemy
  14. How funny seeing a guy who throws 50 innings a year yelling at Bryce Harper to show some effort
  15. hmm... no Jake Arrieta, no Gerrit Cole, not in PNC. Nope, I don't think it is. And why is this game so critical and not the previous 17 games against them, in which we are 10-7? Because we faced a great pitcher and crumpled up like old newspaper, that's why. We'll face a great pitcher in the WC game so all I'm saying is they better figure out a way to do better in that situation than today. wouldnt we be first in like every other division still
  16. Thx
  17. F pitchers. But the dude was 90 IP past his career high IP. It's not really a surprise, is it? wasnt it a leg injury? He's out with a strained shoulder according to what I read. weird i thought it was a knee
  18. wrong

  20. He will run and field that way well into his 50s. we'll need to field a replacement by 2045 or so, i thought this front office was supposed to be forward-thinking????
  21. what do you think is happening in that video? Fernandez didn't like Lake admiring his home run and started running his mouth while Lake rounded the bases. kind of a forest for the trees thing you've got going on here Fernandez did the same thing when he hit his 1st HR and everyone went [expletive] a McCann for calling him out. But, for some reason that is unknown to me it's ok for him to call out Lake? Did he suddenly realize "the right way to play the game"? Or is ok for him to do it, because he's cool or something? He's a dick head. baseball players are all dick heads

  23. the baserunning and defense will get worse, so hopefully he makes a little more contact. He probably is who he will be for the most part.
  24. what do you think is happening in that video?
