I was taking some [expletive] from a Cardinals fan last Friday (How does it feel to be about to win 90 games and know you're still third in your own division,) (You know they're going to get into the one-game and then lose, they're the cubs) etc, and I mean, I dunno, it doesn't really bother me so I just laugh, haha, yeah good one, loveable losers, etc. And then he said "well I used to be a red sox fan but I switched to the cardinals after the whole beer and fried chicken thing" and I knew I had a new mortal enemy

hmm... no Jake Arrieta, no Gerrit Cole, not in PNC. Nope, I don't think it is. And why is this game so critical and not the previous 17 games against them, in which we are 10-7? Fernandez didn't like Lake admiring his home run and started running his mouth while Lake rounded the bases. kind of a forest for the trees thing you've got going on here Fernandez did the same thing when he hit his 1st HR and everyone went [expletive] a McCann for calling him out. But, for some reason that is unknown to me it's ok for him to call out Lake? Did he suddenly realize "the right way to play the game"? Or is ok for him to do it, because he's cool or something? He's a dick head. baseball players are all dick heads

the baserunning and defense will get worse, so hopefully he makes a little more contact. He probably is who he will be for the most part.

:-k I went back and looked and I've only made like six posts in this thread and none of them seem lol worthy. I even stayed out of the RBI pluralization argument. It isn't like this is the Arrieta trade thread. thats what was making me laugh. Every post in here except for one was really positive and every other thread on the board has been you progressing from "well we're going to be bad later this year" to "well we're going to be bad in the future" to "well the future is no guarantee" You are remembering the progression wrong. I've never once said we'd be bad this year or in the future. I've always been one of the more optimistic people about the Cubs in the immediate present. no

He and that team deserve each other. Also if the Cubs ever had the chance to knock a Dusty-managed Marlins out of the playoffs one day, that might be one of the most cathartic moments of my sports fan life. +1, with that Asshat Fernandez on the mound. what the hell could you possibly have against fernandez
