    Jake has nearly 2 WAR on Greinke and his historic, unparalleled second half has coincided with the cubs making a huge push, getting national attention and he's going to be credited (rightfully so) with propelling their second half run. I think he's going to win it.

    he's been protected so much in the lineup and with matchups that there's basically no point in really debating it now, because you can just see what you want to see. Fangraphs seems to think he's been a good fielder so far and I know the cubs think he's a great baserunner, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    Haha I was wondering the same thing. I was driving home from the gym and it was the feed sirius had selected. It wasn't marty brennaman, but it was another old codger who had just had enough of these shitty reds. Votto's bunt almost sent him over the edge.

I have no idea what he is arguing or what is taking so long!" Bruce misplays in RF: "this is an absolute fiasco! He should be credited with two errors without a doubt in my mind" Bottom of the first starts: "and of course, the Reds are down 4-0 before they even swing a bat!"

    I've always been more negative than the average fan, yes. That's a good thing. Edit: If you go back to like 2002 I went by IvyEmpire and was convinced that we were going to be awesome forever thanks to Jim Hendry's farm system. OK. Cool. It just seems like nothing is ever good in your eyes and you can't enjoy or have fun. But I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to my team, so I have issues as well. He's only having fun when he's thinking about how sad his life is and he realizes it makes other people feel awkward.
