    This is my own dumbass fault, but in the last week of this fantasy league im in (It was a work league, and I'd won football and basketball, so I was going for the triple crown) I tanked my last matchup of the year. Even though it was going to drop me down a seed, I felt like the team I would matchup with in the playoffs as a result would be a better fit for my roster. It worked! I made it all the way to the finals and drew a 5-5 tie ... and lost because the team I tied was the same team I tanked against and the tiebreaker was head-to-head. Guess I need to read the fine print next year.

    Jake has nearly 2 WAR on Greinke and his historic, unparalleled second half has coincided with the cubs making a huge push, getting national attention and he's going to be credited (rightfully so) with propelling their second half run. I think he's going to win it.

    he's been protected so much in the lineup and with matchups that there's basically no point in really debating it now, because you can just see what you want to see. Fangraphs seems to think he's been a good fielder so far and I know the cubs think he's a great baserunner, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    Haha I was wondering the same thing. I was driving home from the gym and it was the feed sirius had selected. It wasn't marty brennaman, but it was another old codger who had just had enough of these shitty reds. Votto's bunt almost sent him over the edge.

The Reds pitcher is just "Another rookie who has not gotten any better as we've waited for this season to finally come to an end." Then price argued that ground ball: "what is he doing? I have no idea what he is arguing or what is taking so long!" Bruce misplays in RF: "this is an absolute fiasco! He should be credited with two errors without a doubt in my mind" Bottom of the first starts: "and of course, the Reds are down 4-0 before they even swing a bat!"

By going huge on a free agent in the offseason, or by spreading it around on lots of pitching bets? do we really want to spend any time whatsoever from this little window of cheap offensive production we've constructed for ourselves hoping to get lucky on a bunch of small pitcher bets?     I kind of don't want 1/3rd of our payroll in 2017 tied up in a pair of 33-year-old pitchers. I don't want to be pondering a bullpen game in the 2016 playoffs. [expletive] thank you
