  1. I'm aware. Just saying they shouldn't be called Organizational Talent Rankings. it's in the "minor league" section of baseball america, what did you expect they would be talking about there
  2. Anthony Morrow is a cool ass dude. I wrote about these two guys here who were convicted of murder as teens, only it turned out they didnt do it. Spent 22 years in prison. We covered the case, and eventually the guy who committed the murder (he was on death row for another murder) finally came clean. Anyway, I spent a lot of time with those guys after they got out, and every time I interviewed them they'd say "dude we just wanna go to a Thunder game, we just wanna see russell westbrook." Every time. So anyway I was like let's just call the thunder. Eventually our request to get them courtside to a game made it to Presti and he took an interest. Finally they told us they were going to give the guys courtside seats to the christmas day game, and their own uniforms and stuff, and let them come watch shootaround. And it was anthony morrow who called them to tell them the surprise. The thunder said they asked the players and morrow jumped at the chance. https://www.readfrontier.org/stories/after-20-years-behind-bars-exonerees-treated-to-thunder-game/ http://www.nba.com/thunder/video/exonerated-161230

  9. Reporter: "Miguel, you had a bit of a falling out with Maddon, but you were recently spotting having drinks together and smiling. How would you sum up your relationship with your coach at this point?" Miguel: http://i.giphy.com/ryhl9BWIIWEc8.gif
  10. this is hysterical. Can we team him up with Lester?
  11. Yeah that was the best part. last year's "prank" was dumb. "hey guys i think that's kris bryant." *5 more minutes passes* "hey kris wow u got us." But this one actually was funny
  12. the only way this thread title makes sense is if youre talking about over the life of the contract
  13. on the upside for them, he's not dead
  14. ill be tired of spring training in approximately 7 days but right now THESE GOT ME FUCKIN HYPE

  16. look how jerky heyward's follow through still is lol
  17. i dont recall this at all, how awesome
  18. pitchers strike out so fast it really helps the pace of play. he'll probably just abolish the AL DH instead
  19. Yes, exactly. Plus if you start an inning with a guy at second, arent you just gonna IBB the next dude to set up a double play? I doubt this lasts through this season.
  20. One reason I'm really excited to get this season started is there are just so many possibilities. Maybe Heyward rebounds and Schwarb hits and Russell takes a step forward and the pitching is still good and KB and Rizzo maintain god status and Javy takes a step forward and we win 105 games or Maybe Heyward still stinks and we have to start really thinking about being stuck with an expensive dead weight, and Schwarb really can't play the OF, and Russell plateus and the pitching has health issues and KB and Rizzo, well, still maintain god status, and Javy's defense takes a step back and we win 90 games. Lmao that's kind of crazy to think about
  21. man he just does not look like someone who should be required to move
  22. harold baines horsefeathering owned.
  23. Absolutely not forced. I hate Atlanta, and I can promise you that everyone around me at the bar last night was cheering for the Pats almost like they were the Saints. It's the fans. Every time they come to town they are the most obnoxious, trash talking bunch of derelicts of any fan base. There are always fights in the Dome with them. The city poses as some LA of the South-the exact opposite of New Orleans. All faux glitz, no substance. Atlanta and their fans are the worst. The hate goes back to the NFC West days. Like I said, looking at it as an outsider it seems forced. By my own arbitrary rules, at the very minimum a good rivalry needs to be between teams who share the same state, or are in states bordering each other. You start skipping states, eh, it feels like reaching. And the fans thing, to this I also say "eh;" Reds fans flood Wrigley, but it feels more like annoyance as opposed to "YEAH, horsefeathers THE REDS." Any rivalry there feels more like a technicality than anything else. Obviously, that's not to say it's not an actual rivalry; it just feels like here in DC when I hear locals talking about the Redskins and the Giants like it's this heated, storied vendetta, and all I can think is, "aw, that's nice." And, as usual, it doesn't matter if any of this applies to college sports, because college sports are dumb. do you even know what you plan on saying when you start typing
  24. I mean i think there's as much a chance that Jiminez is good as there is that heyward rebounds, but i also remember that like 5 years ago bubba starling and brett jackson were top 35 prospects
