  1. Only positive about the Gregg suckage is that the hatred of him can't be blamed on racist Cubs fans.
  2. I was thinking Dave Smith or Aguilera.
  3. Sosa didn't have one until 1998. Just weird things in baseball like how Clemens didn't have a no hitter but Bud Smith did.
  4. Some manic Cubs fan would probably welcome him to Wrigley in a non-good way.
  5. It is Easter, after all. Geo paying homage to the only possible Man who could be considered better than Soto.
  6. Thanks for fisting me out of an ever elusive Gregg save in fantasy, Koyie. Nice hit, though.
  7. Why isn't Fuku in RF with Reed in CF? BTW, Braun's undershirt is very homoerotic.
  8. Calgary losing to Edmonton 5-1 with 2 minutes left. Hawks about to clinch the 4th seed! Now, Vancouver is 2 points up on Calgary with 1 game to play for each team. If Vancouver can get 1 point or Calgary gets 0 points in the last game, Hawks will host (and pound) Calgary in the first round =D> =D> =D>
  9. That's the highest jumping trio we've had...because they're all black, get it. :D I saw a movie on this topic once. BTW, I noticed you posting on the WeareDepaul forums recently. That was you right? For the record I agree, I feel bad for Dar Tucker too. My friend is a huge Illini fan that says that Dar was thinking about coming there, and he can't believe someone of Dar's talent got stuck playing for such a crappy team. ou Ya that's me. Die Hard DePaul fan who has had it up to here!! Written some letters and emails to the AD without a response. That place is a joke. It's weird, DePaul is the White Sox to the Illini's Cubs. Strange stuff. Oh well, if they ever get a president/AD who actually want to put an effort into the program, they can resurrect it.

  11. Yes, they are metal bleachers. Don't sit there. Like B&G said, its full of idiots. Not to mention, if its a day game, the sun is in your eyes the majority of the time. Also, the seats just suck. They're not comfortable at all. Sit behind the plate in the upper tank, at least your seat will have a back. If you do sit in the bleachers, pick the Loge instead of the Field. Field sound good, but they are covered by the Loge level, similar to the 200 level at Wrigley. They are good for heckling, however, as they are above the bullpen. I once heckled the Marlins bullpen so hard, they found me entertaining. I got an autographed baseball from Antonio Alfonseca and Vic Darensbourg. Strangely, Cooperstown has not yet called me for the ball.
  12. Weber can't recruit!
  13. Was it ever hard? Thats what she said...
  14. Is it just me, or does Bradley just see a crapton of pitches? My god, his average has to be about 6 pitches per at bat.
  15. So right in between Khalil Greene and JR Towles then Zing!!!!
  16. I mostly agree that the top 5 conferences are very close. I think there's a little separation in there, but not much. The Big 10 argument is basically the same one that occurred with the ACC in football. Do you want a conference full of good teams, or a few teams that are great along with a few bad ones? Good analogy, yet everyone here except Meph continually ripped the ACC in football, but are using severe homerism to claim the Big 10s awesomeness in basketball. Since everyone is now pretty much in agreement that the committee did its job, the Big 10 got seeds of: 2,5,5,8,10,10,12 and the Big East got seeds of 1,1,1,3,3,6,6 Showing the committee clearly thought the top 7 teams in the BE were far superior to the top 7 in the Big 10. I guess I was a little harsh with the Big 10 "sucks" as they were obviously better than the SEC and the Pac 10, but they certainly were not good this year and its very arguable that they are better than the Big 12 (3 elite 8 teams) or the ACC.
  17. Where's loukycub been? Went to the same dark corner that all the other "Big 10 sucks" people went to. In his defense, the Big 10 did suck. Michigan State is just a very good team. They would have been a top 4-5 finisher in the Big East (maybe a Villanova type season). It's not MSUs fault that the rest of the league sucked. Well that's just absurdly false. Haha, just as I expected, no matter what actually happened during the tourney, this trash would continue. In response to your previous post, saying people better enjoy getting their beatings on IU now because Tom Crean is rapidly fixing things up the sentence after saying Sampson and Davis set the program back, I don't know how else to take that. I certainly don't see how you can interpret it as saying Crean will get the team back to the level they were at under Davis/Sampson(minus the anarchy that went on off the court with Kelvin) What exactly happened in the tourney that convinced you that the Big 10 was awesome? Purdue playing 1 slot above their seed, same with MSU? Or was it Ohio State losing essentially a home game to Siena or Illinois losing to Western Kentucky? Maybe it was the stellar showing by Minnesota. Or are you going to play the "Michigan almost beat Oklahoma but the refs gave it to Blake Griffin" card? The Big 10 performed pretty much as expected. Penn State is putting on a good showing in the NIT, but Northwestern lost to mighty Tulsa in the first game. The Big East is good because they have a ton of teams, but those teams also performed, 5 in the Sweet 16 and 2 in the Final 4. The Big 12 had 3 in the Elite 8 which was pretty good for them. Most conferences performed exactly as they should have, not much better or worse, although the ACC can probably be considered "underachievers" after the Clemson loss and the beatdown Duke got from Villanova. The Big Ten is +2 in seed win/loss expectations (nice job here conveniently ignoring No. 12 Wisconsin winning). The Big East is -1 (though this isn't a terribly fair barometer for the conference). The Big 12 is +2. The ACC is -4. The Pac 10 is +1. The SEC is even. The Big Ten, along with the Big 12, exceeded expectations more than any other power conference. OK, but the tourney isn't over. Let's say MSU loses and Villanova beats UNC and UConn giving the Big East a total of +3, does that mean they had a better tourney than if UConn wins it? Is it just me or are those numbers strikingly close? Kind of shows that this was a "big conference" year. That, coupled with all of the blowouts, makes the committee look good anyway. Big 10 probably isn't as bad as everyone thought, but they certainly aren't a powerhouse. They essentially played to their seeds like everyone else. Couple that with the fact that they had lower seeds to begin with means it was a slight down year for the Big 10.

  20. Print them and then scan in the 2 you are going to be selling to the guy. Email him a PDF of the scans for him to print.
  21. Maybe in the bullpen, but hopefully not in the word filter!!!
  22. lol If you're being unbiased I don't see how you can say there was nothing wrong with what he said. He basically admitted that he sat out on days he could have played because he didn't want his numbers to take a hit because it might cost him money the next season. How is that "telling it like it is"? Shut up Milton. We're tryng to like you. Just shut up. 95% of players do this, most of them just lie to cover it up. Might not win him any fans, but all of his teammates know what he's talking about. That is the definition of "telling it like it is". Could he have just as easily said "I played every chance I got and just couldn't stay healthy." Yeah, but that's apparently not how he rolls. Let's hope it doesn't come back to bite him in the rear end.
  23. From MLBTR: http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/story/1246127.html Getting some heat on the radio, but I see no problem with his comments. Telling it like it is, good for him! This guy is going to be all or nothing. He's either going to be World Series MVP or a complete flameout. Lets hope for the former!
  24. cincy lost their last three games - they got blown out at syracuse, lost at south florida and then home against seton hall. i'd guess they're just not playing well right now and that's why they won today. it'd be the greatest thing ever if depaul won the big east tourney, but the odds of that happening are like 10000 to 1. DePaul actually was playing a little better lately too. They nearly beat Villanova at home and they gave Georgetown a game at Georgetown on Saturday. After today, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Providence tomorrow. Typical Wainwright. Can't even lose the right way! Congratulations to the players. It's not their fault they have no offensive or defensive system. Maybe this will help their preparation this offseason. You're right, Providence is beatable. Give them a 10% chance.
