  1. I'm almost sure that's correct. You can keep him in the minors during the season as long as he's in the minors in real baseball, but if a player has lost minor league eligibility I don't think he can stay on your minor league roster during the off-season. he will have to be on your major league roster. I agree. While I would rather have him in the minors. It is nearly impossible for he commish to verify when a player was in the minors, but it is easy to verify that each player has not exceeded the limits in appearances.
  2. Tie! We tied. There are no ties! The race for last continues... Ha ...a tie. You guys are such sorry fantasy baseball players you can't even lose properly in your race to have the worst record
  3. Quakers get back to their winning ways, but too little too late. But finishing over .500 would be nice. Well at least I have a few extra draft picks for next year. BTW - I should have some players with exemptions that I will not be able to keep in the off-season. So, I will be looking to trade. Also, Clay Buchholtz has been sent to the minors. If he finishes the season there, will I be able to keep him in my minors in the off-season? or, since he has 15 starts this year, I have to keep him in the majors? My guess is that he needs to be one of my 10 major league keepers.

    Week 19

It is not looking good for the Quakers
  5. I found this in BA Is this for real?
  6. Sorry about not replying. :( But the trade deadline made the decision for me.
  7. Thanks :D
  8. I haven't been able to follow the minors very closely this year. But I see that he has some decent offensive stats. What is the story with him? Have bat will travel? Too old for the league? Or a legitimate prospect?
  9. I am not ignoring the rade offers, but I am busy and I want to see how well I do this week.
  10. Arg....I lose by 0.75 points! Getting close to a fire sale myself. Dunn, Beltran, and or Beckett interest anyone. I probably won't trade until next weekend since I am only one game out of second place, but I am willing to start talking. Obviously I am interested in draft picks and quality prospects. Players that I would have to drop at the end of the year anyways do not interest me.
  11. I don't know how they compare to others but my best exempt hitter is Reynolds with 265.2 pts and my best pitcher is Jurrjens with 292 pts at the end of week 15.
  12. Mid-season progress report Zambrano has been good, but Beckett has been inconsistent with nagging injuries. Westbrooke was good until injuries wrecked his season. Arroyo was traded for Conor Jackson. Zito never amounted to anything. Luckily Slowey, Jurrjens and Blackburn have come through. Hopefully Buchholz will too in the second half. My pen fell apart due to injuries early. Hopefully my latest duo will suffice. My infield has been OK. Votto has been good, but inconsistent. Kendrick, when healthy, has been good. Tejada has overcome steriod concerns and has played well. Reynolds has played well enough to allow me to trade Zimmerman and pick up a draft pick for next year. Jackson has been a nice pick-up for me. Brandon Wood looks like he will be a bust. My outfield has been good, but I need a little more from Beltran and Dunn. Maybin and McCutcheon will likely only be late season call ups. Hopefully late enough that I can still stash them in the minors during the off-season. So my team is 1 game out at the break and so still in the play-off hunt. I need Votto and Kendrick to come through. Also, Beckett must be the stud that he is capable of being. The next couple of weeks will be the test. If my team falters, then Beltran, Dunn, Griffey, and/or Beckett will make nice trading chips.
  13. Do the games during the all-star week count?
  14. Hate to see the Cubs lose, but I really needed the points from Votto, Griffey, and Dunn. :D
  15. The trading deadline is the end of July???
  16. I have moved to a new appartment and I do not have access to the internet there, So I may, underline may, have problems keeping my team up-to-date. My apologies beforehand if I have 8 starts or whatever.
  17. Munich was crazy last night after Germany beat Turkey. It would be cool to see what happens if they win the final game.
  18. Thanks :D He was an awfully good defensive catcher. (Too bad he couldn't hit). I am not surprised that the Cubs are trying him out on the mound. Hopefully we have another Marmol in the making. If he makes it to the majors, he could easily be the third catcher. It would be the first time (that I know of) where a player pitched and caught in one game.
  19. Since I am in Europe traveling, I haven't kept up with Boise. How is he doing?

    Week 12

Rule question 1) I almost switched Rogers for Contreras since I need a 7th start. But, I cannot pick upa FA starter and just put him in my rotation during the middle of the week. 2) But then I remembered that the reason I don't have a 7th start is that Beckett had his next start moved to next week due to health concerns. So technically I am using Rogers to replace Beckett's start and since he was benched due to health concerns, I can replace him mid-week with a FA. 3) If my interpretation of the rules is off and effects the outcome of the game, please delete Roger's points
  21. I think what people like best about your tirades is that after three championship years in a row, your team is looking beatable this year.
  22. What sucks is to be forced to listen to people tell me what sucks all the time:) That, or being forced to hear one of Abuck's four letter word tirades. What is great is to have a come from behind victory to beat Raw :stickman:
  23. Well here I am in Munich. I have just finished what I hope is only the first of many beers. Its funny how hot dogs always taste better at a ballpark and beer always tastes better in Germany. I hope that the time difference will not be a problem.
  24. Summer at last! \:D/ This year I will be studying in Munich. I will be leaving on Friday. I should have internet access by Sunday, so I do not anticipate any problems with Roadkill. I will have to drink a beer and celebrate my victory over the Raw Dawgs 8-)

    Week 10

Hit by the injury bug. Jackson is day-to-day not expected back until Wednesday. Westbrook is back on the DL. So I put Westbrook on the DL, benched Jackson and picked up Winn to be my Utility guy. Ugly start for the Quakers this week. I was hoping to be able to hear at least a little of Abuck's profanity :(
