  1. Juan - I have Mauer on my DL since CBS has a quote saying that Mauer himself thinks that he will not be ready for opening day. Should I drop Hernandez and wait for Mauer to be officially placed on the DL?
  2. "crickets chirping"
  3. I drafted him already. I'll trade him to you though. Oops. I didn't see him added in RK. I will drop him and pick another player. I can vouch for the fact that someone drafted Lawrie, although he may have forgotten to pick him up on Roadkill. I have a printout of BA's Top 100 prospect list; I started by crossing off those who were already on Roadkill rosters before the draft and have then been crossing off others as they've been drafted. Lawrie was crossed off on my list, meaning that somebody already had him. Dang...I thought I was the only one who did that
  4. Was! Ich hatte gedacht das diese post ueber die Deutsche sprache war! 8-) Ah ... this year Dresden.
  5. After Harry's Budcrews picks, the Quakers will pass.
  6. Just remember to keep things simple.
  7. Does anyone know? Is the Bobby that pitched in today's (Sunday's) game for the Nationals the same one that was in our system? http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2009_03_08_nynmlb_wasmlb_1
  8. Quakers take JP Arencibia C - Blue Jays
  9. So we can select players who are not yet listed at CBS? That answers that question.
  10. So we can select players who are not yet listed at CBS?
  11. That's going to be more challenging to keep track of then when players get added to the database. At least there you have the "new additions" link you can scout in one shot. With this rule, you've got to keep a list of players you are interested in and keep an eye on that entire list on a daily basis to see if any have made their debuts. I'm not against this as this is the type of thing that will benefit a manager like me. But I think it'll hose many managers worse than the current system. Really? Do you think many worthwhile prospects get called up without a bunch of fanfare? How many in a year get called up that are worthwhile and not on someone's roster already? Do not want to belabor this point, but I tend to agree with Tim on this. I liked the way we ran it last year. True, I missed out on the chance to pick up a few prospects, but then I could search and find prospects when I had the time and the need to do so. But again, we can try it this year and change it next year if this process becomes cumbersome and most of the changes that we have made over the years have been positive, so I am done venting.
  12. What? How did this happen? A Sox fan is amongst us  Does someone have the tar and feathers ready :club:
  13. Same here. But my dreams of an early retiremnt are taking a beating as I look at my retirement account. Ouch. :(
  14. I am jumping the gun somewhat, but wtf... So this thread provides the opportunity to tell the rest of the low lifes in this league why your team is going to win it all.....or start to start your just wait til next year mantera. Of course anything you say will be completely disregarded by anyone with any intelligence since it is quite clear that the Fighting Quakers are the superior team. :D)
  15. The excitement is building to see who Juan will take with the 189th pick
  16. The Quakers select Edgar Renteria SS - Giants

  19. The Quakers trade their 8th and 9th round picks to the Rays (UK) for their 5th and 8th round picks in the 2010 draft.
  20. Wow... I wouldn't have done a fourth rounder. I guess I'll have to be patient. Probably overpaid, but I got what I wanted. Thanks, Quakers. I will still listen to offers for my 8th round pick.
  21. The Quakers trade Jason Giambi to the Fighting Manginos for their 4th round pick in 2010. Juan I assume that you will make this thread a sticky.
