  1. Brandon Allen 1b Arizona (I moved Brandon Wood to my major league bench to make room in my minors for him.) I am done drafting.
  2. Simon Castro, SP, Padres
  3. I could move a couple of my players up, but why??? I really want to see how they start the season. Many rookies start the year off slowly. That being said, I am going to have bench issues in July. Wood, Maybin, Sizemore... they will be starting and once they reach 200abs...
  4. Me too.
  5. It is better than having someone miss the draft
  6. Dang, you picked the guy that i wanted
  7. You aren't understanding the question, Juan. I'm basically asking the same thing. Let's pretend that all 10 of my minor leaguers get promoted at the beginning of the season and I promoted them to my major league roster. This would also be after the MLB portion of the draft, since the season is started. Can I pick up minor leaguers to replace the one's who got promoted? My guess would be yes since we are all entitled to 10 minor league players. If the answer is no, we need to discuss why. I think he is saying that once the season starts that we can pick up minor leaguers until the MLB draft of prospects in June. At that point we will have another Roadkill draft. After that draft you can pick up prospects when they become available.
  8. you should have ten or fewer minor leaguers at the end of the prospect draft. I can drop players for you. You can move players up to the majors during the draft but they will need to stay there. Let's say that Wood, or another one of my minor leaguers, has a fantastic spring and I decide to move him up to the majors a week, or two, into the season. At that point can I pick up another minor league prospect so that I have 10 again. Or, do I need to wait until the next prospect draft?
  9. No, but Juan can. So if we indicate who we are dropping he can drop that player and add the new player for us.
  10. yes. just indicate who you are dropping. oh... OK
  11. My understanding was that after this draft is finished you can add or drop minor leaguers as you wished. (Technically after our major league draft since we will be blocked from adding/dropping players by CBS) This stops when the MLB prospect draft takes place. At that point Roadkill would have another prospect draft to make sure that everyone has a fair chance at the new crop of prospects. Afterwards you could pick up prospects as your heart desired. Am I wrong?
  12. Could be good. My initial reactions were 1) Let's keep it simple 2) My biggest headache is usually the 10 player limit 3) But some prospects really don't pan out until their 4th or 5th year so maybe it is not a bad idea
  13. Quakers pick Scott Sizemore 2b Detroit Tigers
  14. Sorry, Quakers pick Jaff Decker OF - San Diego
  15. Juan, you are up
  16. I am waiting
  17. I really think most of this debate will be moot. After 3 rounds there will not be much talent to pick from.
  18. Minor leaguers don't count towards the cap, but they must meet eligibility requirements. I doubt that Milledge does meet those requirements. Once a batter has 200 or more ABs in a seaon, then they are not minor league eligible. Once the season starts and he is actually on a minor league roster, then you can stash him in the minors. But Milledge had over 500 AB's two years ago. He has to be on your major league roster or dropped.
  19. I was expecting to see who was available too. I guess we have to wait until draft day?
  20. I'm still mad about this. :) Why? Because he is a quality pitcher, or because his first name is Tim? :-k Because I was intent on taking him in the second round, way before I thought anyone else would do it. Only Navin picked him one before me. :( :-({|= I still think its because his first name is Tim.
  21. I'm still mad about this. :) Why? Because he is a quality pitcher, or because his first name is Tim? :-k
  22. Welcome to ROADKILL :good: BTW - If you want to avoid the temeptation of trading your first round picks to Tim, just give them to me for safe keeping ;)
  23. I believe NC is correct. Since he passed the 200 AB limit, he needs to be on your major league roster until the season starts. Then if he is in the minors, you can move him there.
