I really don't. If the Cubs don't get him, it is simply because he wants to be on the west coast with the Padres.

The last time we were this locked in on a FA he dissed us for the Dodgers. I hope to have some new Fukunews by lunch time while watching the Cowboys blow up the Lions :-).

Right now I expect that on Monday fukudome will decide he wants to play in the US. Then will take another week to decide which team. I just don't really see this ending in the next 24-72 hours. Of course if he already knows who he wants to play for that could all change real quick.

You can have Robinson and the first year will be free! I would take Major Applewhite before Robinson now. Even with no head coaching experience. Michigan would never make a move like that, but the Major will soon be in the coaching elite.

I like Payton too and think he could have some success. But just as easily fall flat on his face. I'm sure Saben is jealous not to here his name connected to any of these jobs.

I dont think and hope Selig is as dumb as we make him out to be. I am sure Stern would agree that Cuban can be a headache, but is now one of the most important assets to the entire league. I don't think many owners around the NFL care for Jerry Jones but he is hugely important to the success the NFL and creating more profit for owners. I really believe Cuban has the same impact and would be a huge asset to MLB as a whole. The success of the Cubs is a very important and vested interest amongst owners in baseball. Cuban elevates that to another level. Not only will his offer top the rest, but I think he will sell Selig pretty well once he has the chance. It's hard to think he could be the front runner, but I think he is a very close 2nd.

Does anyone actually remember when Detroit really sucked three years ago. I wish the Cubs would make a turn like that someday. Detroit is going to be a good fit for Willis. They will make him look better than he is.

Personally, I think this year has been great. Best year in college football history in terms of the whole season every single week. Though I do agree the NC setup has a lot of potential to disappoint. Mizzou needs to win the Big 12 assuming they win tonight. If West Virgina makes it, I think they will win it all. -
The bolded is wrong because when I looked earlier, Tebow had the highes yards per attempt average in the nation. After looking it up and putting in today's stats, Tebow's is 9.86 and White's is 8.01. White also didn't even throw for 1500 yards this year - his single game max was 181 which he got twice - while Tebow went over 3000 and only had one game less than 200. Tebow accounted for nearly 4000 yards this year while White was around 2600. And if you're going to criticize Tebow and leave him off partly because his team is third in their division, you better do the same with McFadden because Arkansas is going to finish fourth in their division. Tebow deserves the Heisman, and had a good shot to repeat given the amount of seniors and McFadden almost a given to go pro. Of course though repeat is always easier said than done, and injuries tend to come durinfg that process.
