The fundamental difference is that there are tons of guys capable of being commissioner of baseball, and only a handful capable of being major-league players. there were some people who did an awful job as commissioner. i think you're underestimating the importance and difficulty of that position. Its kind of like the GM position, and the fantasy owners who think they know everything that is going on.

For all the ink and bandwidth that's been used up about ND's recruitment of him (the leis when he came to the Syracuse game, Weis's special visit), they'd better get him. I always expect Hawaiian/Tongan palyers worth a damn to go to USC now a days for whatever reason.

Huge win by Liverpool today. Torres scores in the 89' and 93' minute against Chelsea. Damn just read the Liverpool had 25 shots today, 9 on goal. Also Fulham are trying to get McBride back on loan for the rest of the season.

I think its funny that that's all he really needs to do. Sepp is all about the dolla billz. A potential final in Dallas would be great with a 100,000+. Too bad I already know Holland will choke before that point.

The US officially made there bids for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups today. I think England has a European bid locked up, leaving the US to compete with probably Australia. I don't think Japan has a real chance this soon, China I don't think will be a popular pick, Qatar is well Qatar. I do like the Holland/Belgium/Luxembourg trio, but I think England has too much going for them right now. I simply don't think the US will be denied having already hosted the most successful WC ever.
