I was going to be pissed if Arsenal was the one that didn't make it through. Time to hope for a good draw now. I did find it funny that Liverpool featured 4 Spanish players yesterday where Real only featured 3.

Arsenal and Roma are heading to extra time. Game cast makes it seem like Toure missed a header in the 92 minute after van Persie had a shot deflected just wide.

Really? I thought people were down on turning Pie and Cedeno into another inconsistent reliever making millions. Personally, as somebody who has been hearing Mets fans do nothing but bitch about the guy for years now, I'm not all that enthusiastic about his tenure. this just in, a lot of fans are idiots. he was really damn good from 2005-07; if people were bitching about his performance then that's because they remembered a bad outing somewhere along the way and let it skew their opinion of the guy. if he pitches like he did last year then sure, we'll all hate him, but there's a pretty good shot at a return to form. a better hell of a lot better chance that he can provide a meaningful positive contribution to this team than olson or cedeno. also, cedeno sucks and pie probably sucks too, so not much lost there. People were just pissed that Olson didn't turn into Peavy like they had initially thought and hoped he would.

I really liked how they came out and didn't just look to attack but really took it to Real. So many teams will resort to at least a semi-defensive approach but Liverpool came out looking to get the first goal and seal up the win. Real had no chance against Torres pace, his chance in the 4th minute was great. Liverpool didn't let up for even one minute the entire match.

The state of Texas in general this year is very tough. 5 teams in the top 12.

Assuming his arm doesn't explode, the Nats should be forced to draft and pay him. If not they might as well contract that team.

Its actually nothing like college baseball as two teams out of 4 move on instead of one, instead of double elimination. I didn't understand the reason for Japan and Korea to play again and have Korea end up winning the group. Actually I still don't understand it.

My understanding is that if you are below 10 players in your Minor League Roster you can continue to draft, or drop a player on your roster to draft someone. Once the draft is complete these players will then become available via FA. Players going into the 2009 MLB Draft will have to wait until the next Minor League Draft. I could be wrong too.

I thought it was more suspicious that Jordan's dad was murdered and not robbed, and then MJ retired until he paid off his gambling debts to the mob. I've never thought of this, but that is interesting.
