  1. I actually hope that we do go 0-3. I think I am just going to learn Dutch and follow only them.
  2. Whats with the new facination of giving up a goal in the 1st 10 minutes?
  3. Id be all for it. Marshall would probably generate more interest being a lefty and having more of a track record. I know we could rely on him of rthe future, but next year, wes still have Z, Lilly, Dempster, and Wells. We could probably re sign Harden, and if not, we could find something else. Maybe Shark will finally be ready. Probably not though. Marshall, Fox, and Fontenot for Aaron Hill.
  4. Hopefully Texas can put it away on Friday to make it to the championship series. So far not their best pitching of the season and 2-0.
  5. It looked like the US were playing a man down in the 2nd half, oh wait... I'm never going to cheer for Rossi, but that was a great shot.
  6. Doesnt work at work, any other feeds.
  7. gamecast is sucking. They said a couple of minutes ago there was an own goal by Bornstein, now that is gone and Donovan scored on a penalty with the score 1-0. Is it 1-1 or 1-0?
  8. Was it deserved?
  9. 4 - Cowboys 4 - Spurs 1 - U of Texas (Probably my favorite, not really counting the baseball championships) 5 - Arsenal (Though I was not watching in 88 or 91)
  10. No Rossi for Italy.
  11. This might be the only time the words total package and Ryan Theriot are mentioned in the same sentence.
  12. I had a fear that he might still play for Germany prior to being cap tied, but that article pretty much abolished that. I'm looking forward to him playing, and it sounded like it could happen sooner if FIFA would hurry up.

    Week 11

I got lucky as hell last night with Cliff Lee putting up almost 50 points. Need to carry over some of that this week.
  14. He hasn't graduated from HS or received his GED and gone to one year of junior college. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/ask-ba/2009/267859.html He has enrolled in Juco now and will be taking his GED soon. http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/draft/?p=1261
  15. I doubt the US/Italy match will be as entertaining as this one.
  16. They are solid. I think the US should be able to get chances off of set pieces with Gooch, Bradley or Boca. But they will have to be ready to defend the counter vs. Egypt. Despite how brutal this group is, the US should be thankful to get exposed to 3 very different teams. We need this kind of training, and to see if the coaching staff can learn how to make adjustments.
  17. Egypt have no size to mark up against Brazil on set pieces. Kaka's goal was also nice, but showed terrible defense on Egypt. Outside of that Egypt have not looked terrible
  18. Right now the Spanish players could hit a dime from 30 yards out. Their passing has been superb so far.
  19. For the most part the 1st game was boring crapfest. Looking forward to seeing Spain this afternoon and just what lineup they bring out today.
  20. the game between those two could be epic this year. If the Texas freshman play like the Kansas freshman last year it could be. They also need Jai Lucas to play well at the point. I think this could be a big year for Dexter Pittman assuming he doesn't balloon up in the offseason.
  21. Damion James withdrew from the NBA draft today and is heading back to Texas. This could put Texas in the Top 5 now for the preseason polls and actually give Kansas some competition this season in the Big 12.
  22. Thoughts on how the two of them will play together? They seem like thet could complement each other pretty well. Most importantly, I think this could be a revelation for Freddy's MNT career. -----------------Jesus Howard-------------------- ----Spec----Gooch----Boca----Bornstein---- --------------Bradley--------Jones--------------- -------Deuce--------Adu--------Donovan------- ---------------------Altidore----------------------- Honestly, based solely on the Honduras game, I'd rather start Feilhaber than Bradley, but we know that's not going to happen under current management. Jones is the kind of box-to-box general that can cover for Freddy defensively, link the back line to the midfield and loose some rockets from outside the box. That gives us a ton of speed up front and 5 guys who can attack if you include Bradley. Torres could play almost anywhere on that line as well for any of the front 3.
  23. Thoughts on how the two of them will play together? They seem like thet could complement each other pretty well.
  24. I still want to find a way to get Aaron Hill, they just have no reason to trade him. I mean he went to LSU, he would fit right in.
  25. We have ridiculous depth at the holding mid, but he is immediately top choice, imo. See ya Mastro. I wish he could go to Confederations Cup. Maybe he will get some playing time in the Gold Cup. I'm just curious to watch him play some as I pretty much never watch the Bundesliga. He is nails. He is fast. He is strong. He is angry. He is aggressive. He is real, real good. He was voted the 4th best midfielder in the Bundesliga last year. Not center mid either. Mid in general. Behind Ribery, Ozil and Eduardo. A good comp would be Daniele De Rossi. Hard man who can get forward and distribute and attack. He is kind of a douche bag though according to his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jermaine_Jones Yeah I was read his wiki about an hour ago. But we need a couple of douche bags on this team like that. Anyone with an attitude would be a welcome addition.
