So is Strausburg going into the minor league or major league draft?

Talent and 2010 performance aside, Washington may be looking for a nice signable player after the last two drafts. Two drafts ago they didn't spend any money though and being that they have tried and failed to spend money in the FA market they should inject more money into the draft and overseas signings. That said I think they should spend the money needed in the draft to get the best player available. -
The NCAA is looking into the eligibilty of Bryce Brown according to Lane Kiffen. Possible improper recept of funds to visit a university when he was a HS Soph. At that time Tennessee was not recruiting Brown.

Wow, with everyone hating the pick he has gotten off to a nice start.

That would be interesting and would probably mean that he would start next season in the majors as they would have no reason to push his arbi clock back. Correct, you can see why that would be so appealing to him. He wouldn't be the first to have that in his contract - Andrew Miller got that from the Detroit Tigers a few years ago. From the standpoint that the Franchise needs anything they can get from a marketing standpoint it might not be terrible in effort to sell any season tickets.

Is Harper a lock at #1 next year if he gets into the draft? Jameson Taillon sounds pretty impressive too. -
At 60 grand a week? I wish I could have just 1 week where I made $60,000. Well it'd be more like $90,000. He makes 60,000 pounds. A Rod makes like $500,000 a week. I'll take pounds or dollars, whatever someone wants to give me. Just no peso's out of principle alone. As for Arod, I don't want to sound greedy :-).

Thats my opinion of the way the rule should read, and to make it more specific CBS has to recognize the injury with their little "red cross" sign just to avoid any grey areas.

Exactly. I'm not sure why they're calling it garbage. I wish the Bears would switch to FieldTurf like the Patriots did. The field is a disaster, especially for a defense that relies so much on its speed. There is nothing wrong with field turf outside of the annoying little beads every now and then getting inside your shoe.

I'm happy to see this, the Nats need something to build upon. If they can suck and draft/sign Bryce Harper next season then things could finally be looking up for them.

Greg Paulus was named the starter today for the Cuse. Despite my hatred for Duke basketball I will be cheering for him, could be a nice story.

Buster Olney was talking about how if the Nats don't sign Strasburg some of the GM's will be wanting to restructure things in the draft. I'm sure the players union will object to anything in regards to the current CBA, but something should happen as the draft system doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The NFL, NBA, and NHL don't really have the signability issues the MLB has when it comes to a draft.
