  1. http://www.noshortcorners.com/ Damn, that will be interesting. Feel bad for Fulham though if Hodgson leaves.
  2. I think they'll back up a truck of cash for Marcelo Bielsa which is probably an awesome move for them. If he got them playing like Chile, they could be a bitch. That requires Mexico committing to one coach for a full 4 years. Are they capable of that?
  3. Javier Aguirre has resigned as the head coach of the Mexican National Team. He was probably the best thing to happen to Mexico in some time. Maybe Hugo Sanchez will take over for the 4th or 5th time.
  4. I don't think his days are over, but he's certainly going downhill. Losing early at the French is one thing, but losing early at Wimbledon is another. He's not done and I still think he's good enough to win another major or two, but his days of dominating are over. In addition to Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and del Potro are all very good players capable of winning multiple majors. Yeah its starting to look like the normal days of tennis where winning 1 major a year was considered a good year. Federer just doesn't have the same edge that he once had, I wonder if having a kid had anything to do with it. Djokovic hasn't lived up to the expectations I had for him 2 years ago. Hasn't there always been a dominant player in men's tennis for at least the last 30 years? Not that dominate and not in every major. To put into perspective Sampras never won more than 2 majors in a year, Federer has won 3 in 1 year 3 different times. Sampras was #1 once for 102 straight weeks, Federer 237 straight weeks.
  5. Wow, thank you Francis.
  6. Is this a joke? Will he even get half that? Wow, great move for the Spurs.

  8. Utley going on the DL is not helping me too much.
  9. 2 starts from Cliff Lee and Strausberg this week. I need to win.
  10. Especially in a 0-0 game after 120 minutes.
  11. I wouldn't F with Blanco.
  12. I wasn't really paying attention during the games to this but I have to think that other teams were watching Jozy very closely up top because they knew he was the only striker that was likely to actually do something. A philosophy of if Findley/Buddle/Gomez manage to score and beat them, so be it. I have to think Davies being healthy would have opened things up so much for Jozy and the team in general. And it certainly would have taken pressure off Jozy knowing there was another proven striker up there with him. I hope to hell that Davies can come back healthy and be peaking or close to peaking in 2014. And I didn't realize how old Buddle and Gomez (and sort of Findley) were. I thought they were all 22-23 or somewhere there. I know Findley's only 25 now but I would not have pegged the other two for 28-29. There is always the possibility of naturalizing someone. Just didn't workout this year with J Jones. Luis Gil would be a very outside shot at the bench. There are a couple of guys in the U20 that I know nothing about like Picault, Orozco, and Lletget. We will see a couple of good surprises and a couple of guys who fall out. Adu could still be starting come the 2014 cycle, hopefully missing out will motivate the hell out of him.
  13. I want nothing to do with Conmebol outside of friendlies and occasional trips to Copa America.
  14. We would end up doing the same thing this time around as the Gold Cup will end up being more important for us.
  15. Well that was quick, 2-0 Brazil in a span of 4 minutes.
  16. Gulati disappointed with exit, I wonder if thats a sign of whats to come for Bradley. I really have no clue what to expect from him they way the Klinnsman negotiation's broke down 4 years ago. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/id/5335896/ce/us/us-soccer-president-sunil-gulati-says-team-failed-expectations?cc=5901&ver=us
  17. This is pretty much the recruiting season for UT. Usually not too much going on for them at the beginning of the year as they don't have any offers left except for guys waiting until signing day. Also beats reading about the Cubs right now.
  18. Happy to see Robben starting.
  19. A little surprised to see him recommit that quick, i'm sure he knows that if he decommits again he won't have a chance to come back.
  20. I'm ready for Hellickson to call. A win this week and next week and I could become a buyer.
  21. Again Ghana has 24 million we have 305 million, Mr. Optimistic And Holland has 6 million and is 800 square miles bigger than Rhode Island. Thanks for the population education.
  22. I would be happy with either one of those moves.
  23. You can't blame him for the goal - that was lousy defending by De Michelis He does look very lazy though.
  24. Marquez sneaks in an elbow, might have been incidental or the work of a pro.
  25. I got $5 on cleats to the chest. Another $5 on a straight red with a headbutt.
