I'm intrigued now. I want to hear how good Woody would be in the booth. His voice really isn't that compelling, and he really holds in a lot of excitement so I am not really sure he will be a good tv/radio guy. I would love for him to become one, but its hard to picture that.
I can't wait for the Raiders to pass both up after they go 4-12 next year and get a top-5 pick. are you and Andy having a contest? Well neither one of them is fast enough to play for the Raiders.
Who is even projected at #1 this year out of College? Seems like a weak year compared to the last couple. Also I have never been convinced that the lottery wasn't rigged the year Cleveland won it so they could draft Lebron.
I'm ok with not drafting OL in the first round. Unlike raw, I'd like to go WR in the first round actually. But I think Jerry can address OL in the middle rounds and FA. Depending on the labor situation of course. I wouldn't mind WR. But I'm not a big fan of Michael Floyd or Jonathan Baldwin. If Justin Blackmon comes out and is available when the Bears pick, he's the type of talent that you can't pass up to me. A top CB would be nice too, as the Bears are on borrowed time with Jennings and Tillman being even servicable. The Cowboys can always trade you Roy Williams ;-)
I'm hoping he leaves too, but if he stays OSU is going to be really tough just a notch below OU. I won't be surprised to see a team from the Big 12-2 in the MNC next season.
that sounds great. but it's hard to sign a new coach to a contract until the current coach is fired. and if the target coach is in a bowl game and wants to coach that bowl, there isn't much you can do. this could have been handled much better, i think. but it's not as simple as "don't fire richrod until you know you have harbaugh." that's not really possible. Agreed but you should have a viable contengency plan if that one falls through. I don't think Michigan did.
Right now if I am Michigan I make offers to Gary Patterson (despite signing the extention), Chris Petersen, Urban Meyer, Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Jimmy Johnson, and the corpse of Woody Hayes. 1st one to accept the offer gets the job.
They didn't vacate USC's championship because of the Reggie Bush stuff right? Also technically does the NCAA have any power to even do that? They literally do not crown a champion in the sport. Thats all the BCS and the AP that decides the 'mythical national champion' anyway. I'm not sure if they determined was ineligible all 3 years at USC or just 2005 when they lost to Texas?
Okie St is probably more like Oregon based on the T Boone Picken's money. They just need to change their orange to match a highlighter and they are there.
I saw him play probably 12 times at AA-Frisco in 2008 and he was hitting everything in site to all fields with power. Also walked a good deal too. He's probably more of a DH than an everyday catcher, but as a backup and bat off the bench he could be very solid. I really like this move just out of potential and dumping Hill.
