  1. He might be standing in front of one of those funhouse mirrors. If not that's John Daly scary like, great job by him.
  2. I just noticed Barca's scoring differential this season was at +50 in 19 games. They should almost be forced to sell two starters just to make this a little bit more fair. Nevermind their bench is too good too.
  3. I'm hoping James Harrison gets fined for an illegal hit on Sanchez, upset at the call he punches Rex Ryan in the face and retires before the SB.
  4. Thats quite possibly the worst potential SB match up. God I hope the Bears and Jets win, but the thought of Sanchez winning a SB also sucks. Its like Trent [expletive] Dilfer winning the SB.
  5. I want to be happy the Pats lost, but the Jets are just too despicable right now. What a collection of punks, especially Ryan. I hope the Steelers just murder them. I really hate both teams. I don't want to see the Steelers or BigBen win another SB.
  6. that's what I've heard as well. Report out of Auburn is that he is staying now. Yeah, I'm glad he's staying. Hopefully, that means Westerman will follow but still not sure that is the case. Yeah right now I am thinking thats about 50/50 for where he goes. He committed to Texas cause of the family atmosphere he claimed, we will see. I think it helps that Texas is his last official visit we just have to have an OL coach in place to have any shot.
  7. I like the Danny Woodhead stories. Him selling his own jerseys at Modell's still cracks me up.
  8. that's what I've heard as well. Report out of Auburn is that he is staying now.
  9. I think there is a very good chance that Garza turns out to be better than Lilly, at worse he is a poor man's Lilly.
  10. Fiver have you heard anything? I heard he has the weekend to think it over, but that they are ready to move on quickly should he stall at all.
  11. It would be strange to have a Ryan on the Cowboys coaching staff. You'll get over it when he gets that D to play for him the way Ryans do. He has all the talent he can hope for on that defense. And his aggressive style would fit them to a T, IMO. No I would love it and think he could be a perfect fit. I can just picture his dad rooting against him just because he went to the Cowboys.

  13. They are almost like the Patriots in this regard. I don't know what I would ever do if the Cubs had this many picks in the 1st and supplemental rounds.
  14. Absolutely not. He arranged a switch from Chivas De Guadalajara for the expressed reason that he is not going to be a Mexican International. Good, I want to have a striker with some size at least in the mix of things in the future.
  15. Yes, he's there today interviewing. Makes sense regardless of what he wants to do. If he wants to stay at Auburn, today's interview will get him a nice raise. I'm hearing from a relatively reliable source that Grimes is back in Auburn this morning and will hear AU's counteroffer today. Fits what I read that Grimes left last night with a deal being finalized but could still happen soon. As long as they get either Grimes or Wickline I will be happy. Acutally if Texas ends up with Grimes, Auburn should offer Wickline.
  16. Hasn't he been pro since signing his LOI? Reminds me of the movie Baseketball
  17. Omar Salgado was drafted #1 today, he looks like he is closer to 27 than 17. Do we need to worry about him choosing Mexico over us?
  18. O-Line coaches on college teams? I don't see that as very strange. I know all of Tennessee's coaches (and grad assistants) quite well. I figured that was the norm. ::shrug:: At schools like Tenn, Auburn, and the real UT (just kidding Dew) I think it's more the norm. But also these coaches make more than a lot of OC's and DC's. And now a days they are the major players in recruiting.

  20. Especially in a year like this for Texas when the entire staff changes. Plus having the #1 recruiting class and wanting to make sure they bring in coaches to keep that class in place.
  21. Hasn't Westerman committed to Texas? Yeah Westerman committed a while back but has since looked at Aubrun and USC when Texas let go of the coaching staff. He hasn't decommitted and his family has planned on moving to Austin too. His family was even wearing UT shirts during the UA Game last week. Also to note Westerman almost committed to Boise St prior to Texas and UT has since brought in Harsin as the OC. The rumors I have been hearing since last week is that Grimes in all likelyhood will accept the job, if not Wickline from Okie St is next in line. Grimes is from Texas, and Mack Brown has been picking young SEC coaches like crazy the past couple of week. Grimes though is Westerman's favorite OL Coach from what I have heard. Anything is possible but right now I feel pretty confident that he goes to Texas. Also Texas has not lost a single recruit from the coaching staff changes so far. His parents want him to go to Texas, but Christian really likes Jeff Grimes per my understanding. I'd be willing to make a small wager on Christian going to AU if Grimes were to stay. However, as you mentioned, Grimes if from Texas, he played for UTEP, met his wife there, etc. I think Grimes is going to take the position at Texas, and i believe Texas may also be offering an 'assistant head coach' title if he goes there. edit - His mother's parents live near AU, so I've heard that it may just be his father who wants him to attend Texas....anyway, if Grimes goes to Texas, Westerman will attend Texas. Been some reports that Grimes is in Austin today.
  22. I think a lot of teams have been able to get a lot of value out of RB's after the 1st round the last couple of years so it has to be an elite level RB to make a team want to draft him in the top 10.

  24. And the 4th time during the same period that they beat a #1 team (I'm not sure who the other #1 team they beat was). Probably a UNC team. I have no idea why but Maryland came to mind.
