Fisher returning is the likely case at this point, though Bud has said he's still evaluating the coaching staff and could make further changes. My guess is, with Vince gone, Fisher and Bud will compromise. A couple coaching staff changes are almost definitely in the works, though (Chuck Cecil especially). I'm really surprised by this. As anybody who pays attention to my Titans ramblings on here, I really didn't think Bud would let Vince go. It's a good move, though, as it was blatantly clear it wasn't going to work with a Fisher/Vince duo. The flood of opinions probably helped, as Titans VP Steve Underwood, GM Mike Reinfeldt and former coaches Jerry Glanville and Bum Phillips all met with Bud and told him to keep Fisher and cut Vince. Titans PBP guy Mike Keith said today that if Fisher returns, Kerry Collins will as well, as a backup. So my hope is we bring Kerry back and focus on a QB in the draft - my early preferences being Gabbert, Mallett and Locker (primarily Gabbert). I also think (and hope) this works out better for Vince too. He no longer has Bud to fall back on and now can go to a team with a coach who believes in him and didn't have him forced on him. Vince clearly has a ton of talent, so hopefully he'll fulfill it wherever he plays next. I'm trying to think of which team would be the best fit for Vince, part of me is thinking Miami. With the right OC, him with the Vikings could be interesting as well.

What type of timetable are you putting on getting Texas back to a BCS level program? 2012 or 2013 at the latest. I am hoping for 8 wins next season, and competing for a BCS spot the year after. #2 recruiting class last year, currently #1 this year and the level of HS talent for the next recruiting class just in the state of Texas is great (Jonathan Grey and Mario Edwards will both be top 10 nationally).

Looks like Texas has brought in Bo Davis from Alabama, could be an interview but this late in the process it must be pretty serious. Rumors are that they have a tentative agreement with Chryst as well. Still pretty clueless as for the DC, but I am guessing Jerry Gray.
