  1. Please, don't wake up!! :D Badgers 3-0 in a nicely fought game so far.
  2. Wow, big MSU comeback. Hopefully NU can hold them off. 24-3 Badger victory. PJ Hill continues his impressive rookie campaign.
  3. 14-0 Badgers! Pj Hill is pretty good, already 80 yards and a TD on the day. The other score was a 50 yard fumble recovery TD.
  4. Now 52-0. Wisconsin looks like a completely different team this week. Granted, its probably because of the competition they're facing, but its nice to see the offense start to mesh a bit more.
  5. Yeah - just generalize the whole team by dumb actions by a guy who strictly plays special teams. Not trying to generalize. Just an extremely dirty play by that Badger player. Its a dirty play, but late hits happen all the time. Heck - the Michigan player who swatted at the Badgers WR's head was a dirty play too. Not as extreme, but dirty and no need for it.
  6. I stopped watching. what are you actually saying? what happened? It was a special teams play, after the play was over one of the Wisconsin players when on the ground threw in an extra push.
  7. Yeah - just generalize the whole team by dumb actions by a guy who strictly plays special teams.
  8. This is true, I'm a big Badger support and expected Wisconsin to lose today, they're just too raw offensively. But with that said, no one wants to see a game significantly affected by horrible ref play. If the refs were solid in the first half, Michigan would be working from behind in the second half instead of a tie game. The outcome might be the same, but how its played would be much different. Instead of seeing a potential game that down to the final minutes, you'll see a game that means nothing in most of the fourth quarter.
  9. I get the distinct feeling that these announcers are Michigan supporters.
  10. Yeah - Big Ten refs at its finest. And it only gets worse during basketball season.
  11. I'm glad you noticed that, for a minute I thought I was seeing things. These announcers have been pretty weird.
  12. Experience wise basically. Hubbard and Swan I believe are both Juniors, but they haven't played at all prior to this. Hubbard is a converted track star so he's very raw, but shows good promise. They had Marcus Randel El coming into this season, but he went out early with a season ending injury. Their depth are all true freshman. Their TE's are all converted: Lewis (former QB), Beckum (former DE/LB) and Crooks (former LB). The TE group looks very promising.
  13. Yeah - they're certainly not impressive at all offensively. PJ Hill has consistently shown some punch, but overall they're just way too raw. Basically if you stop Wisconsin on first down, you'll win the drive as there is no way Wisconsin can move the chains with longer passing plays.
  14. Stocco has really regressed from last year. Orr and Williams probably made him look better than he actually was. Got a call there. Make up call maybe. Regressed? No. Wisconsin graduated a bunch of key OL and WR's last year. If you've watched any of the games prior to this, you would of seen Stocco getting pressure constantly and WR's dropping balls. This is just a very young offensive unit for Wisconsin, but as of right now, they're playing Michigan very well.
  15. This will definitely be an interesting situation to watch. Barry almost left for Miami before, if given a second chance, would he take it? The interviews I've seen of him recently show to me that he's very antsy and active on college football saturdays. If he's given an offer he can't refuse, I think he'll take it. But I think the offer is key, his AD job right now is pretty sweet.
  16. It pains me to say it as a Badger fan, but at games end you might even want to put this game in the 'mismatch' category. Based on what I've seen from Wisconsin so far, Michigan should win this game pretty handidly. Badgers should be competitive defensively, but offensively their team is waaaaay too young. PJ Hill looks to be the next in line of very solid RB's, but the OL is inconsistent and Stocco has really no one to throw to yet.
  17. I seriously wish the KG rumors would just die. Pax recently said he's never even talked to Minnesota once about KG this offseason, so for talks to 'revive' they needed to live at one point. I'd love KG on the Bulls, but I don't like the idea of giving up a huge Bulls strength, depth. The PJ brown trade offers the Bulls financial flexibility where they'd be able to reup Kirk, Luol, Nocci, and maybe even Gordon. The Bulls are putting together a solid core that can compete for division/conference titles for the next 3-5 years, maybe even more based on how Tyrus develops.
  18. Um, what big man doesn't have holes in their game? Very talented Big Men are a rarity, then trying to find one with an offensive and defensive game is almost near impossible. Big Ben is a game changer on the defensive end, and that addresses a huge need for the Bulls. Yes, he doesn't provide the post offense the Bulls are desiring, but the offseason is young and if reports are correct, Chandler will be shipped soon for that additional help.
  19. Celtics don't really have a point with an over game. They have an interesting group of guard play - Allen, Dickau, Green, Pierce and Wally. Duhon is a bit different, more PG leadership with a defensive focus. Given that Duhon has to agree to any such trade, i don't see it happening. Unless he is guaranteed a starting spot, he doesn't improve his situation whatsoever. If the Bulls do swing such a trade, they better package their picks for a proven veteran. The Bulls are very close to becoming one of the best teams in the East, getting two rookies that need time to develop doesn't help at all.
  20. I think that's an overstatement. He's a very good shooter and moves pretty well without the ball, but his defense is inconsistent and his ballhandling is below avg. at best. sure, but he's the guy who comes in and gives the team a jolt of energy. How many 4th quarter comebacks has he been responsible for? I just don't think you find that level of excitement and energy too often from a young player. He's not the best player on the team but he is exciting. Energy and excitement is nice but not critical. Heck Kirk, Tyson (when healthy) and Nocci bring energy and excitment to the table pretty consistently. I like Ben - and don't want to see him traded, but he's nowhere near being the lifeblood of this Bulls team. He's an amazing offensive punch that the Bulls rely on often. If he did get traded, it would be with the assumption that the Bulls would have a new offensive source. If Ben continues to develop, he could be something very special.
  21. If your coming from downtown, you could always park at the millenium park garage, last time I went there it cost me $10 for the day. That's pretty cheap as far downtown parking lots go.
  22. Well thankfully I don't need to depend on these guys as core players, they're just my minors/depth that I am hoping to stash for next year as low salary impact players. I'm hoping at least 2 of the 5 become decent impacts. I could see at least 3-4 as starters next year.
  23. Unfortunately I had to fold in my keeper league because my team absolutely sucked. In our league we have a contract system where you can only keep a player for 3 years. I traded away all my contract 3 players to contenders for prospects I felt could make an impact next year. Just wanted to peoples opinions on the following guys and if you think a fantasy impact next year is likely... Stephen Drew BJ Upton Anthony Reyes Felix Pie Howie Kendricks
  24. I like the spot, Bulls should get Aldridge or Thomas. It should be interesting to see what Toronto does as they already have some talented bigs. Thankfully we didn't get hosed like Portland.
  25. I'm not sure anyone ever confused Kruk as a 'good baseball analyst'. He's on Baseball Tonight for one reason, personality. He's an entertaining guy that offers good side commentary. Its not surprising that he supports Baker, he's an old school player that stands by his teammates. Given that Baker is a 'players manager', Kruk would definitely support him.
