    It looks like Lilly will sign with the Cubs. ESPN1000 reported the Cubs could sign both Lilly and Schmidt.

    Say no to Lilly. His mechanics are so bad. Maybe that is why he is always seemingly injured.

    Found this on insidetheivy.com According to ESPN 1000, Bruce Levine is reporting that Cubs GM Jim Hendry is looking to try and bring in Ryan Church of the Washington Nationals for left-handed bench help. Hendry is also considering Darryl Ward as a possible move.

    Jennings is overrated on this board. He is not that good of a pitcher in my book. You could probably get the same production out of Jason Marquis. Marquis is very similiar to Jennings in his style of pitching.

    His shoulder is a concern, but his potential value to the Cubs should be something Hendry considers. I don't thinkt the Cubs have enough talent to acquire Colon. His weight is more of a concern that his shoulder. He is Ruben Quevedo fat. He does need to lose some weight to take pressure off of his back. But he did have a rotator cuff injury with the Halos this year that caused him to miss the remainder of the season. He would be a gamble I would be willing to take.     Maybe the Giants will be interested in Ryan Demspter? I mean a Benitez/Dempster end of the bullpen has a chance to do_________(fill your adjective). Dotel might be headed to the Giants.

    Kerry Wood has more control over his body when he is in the stretch. Which in the end gives him more control over his pitches. I could see him being the closer some time in May if Dempster continues to struggle with his command. That being said, Kerry Wood is not guranteed to be healthy in May.
