JJ Hardy is a stud. .288 Average, 5HR, 13RBI, .350 OBP, 7 K's. 7 Walks. So much for being a "black hole" in the lineup.

So much for believing his shoulder should not be considered an issue. Im glad the Cubs stayed away from this guy. Even though at one point I liked the idea of having him in the Cubs rotation, I still did not like giving him a big deal due to the fact his shoulder was a huge issue with me.

Wood, Smoltz, Zumaya, Wagner, Bonderman are a couple of other guys who have that arm action as well. Im not a fan of that arm action either. I dont like the fact the elbow goes higher than the shoulder which cuases more stress in that shoulder area. Even when I try to attempt that arm action, I can feel that my arm does not react well to it. -

Come on now. Santana has obliterated the league for three years running. You think that the torch is passed after two starts? As great as he is, he's got a long way to go. Consistency is everything. And don't get me wrong: I recognize this kid's potential... but... Also: he will have the arm troubles of Kerry Wood if they continue to tax his 21-year-old arm with 100 pitches every fifth day... That probably wont be the case. Felix is pretty sound on his mechanics, and Kerry Wood is probably one of the worst at repeating his mechanics. -
James Shields is going to be a pretty good pitcher in their rotation.

Gameday said it was a wild pitch. It was but it was right infront of Barrett he turned the wrong way and let it skip away. TERRIBLE move--it hit his glove Barrett is the worst defensive catcher in the league. Y'know, even if that were true, and its not, his offense still outweighs it. It is true. Im tired of hearing about "his offense outweighs his mistakes behind the plate." Hell, I rather have Blanco starting behind the plate each game because I know he wont be dropping off-speed pitches, I know he will block pitches in the dirt, and I know he will call a really solid game behind the plate. Barrett is garbage behind the plate. He is better served as a DH in the AL than he is a catcher in the NL.

The Cubs batters need the wind to be blowing out each home game for them to score any runs. Just like how it was in 04. Seems like this team is built on the 3 run homerun to win ball games.

With a whopping 1 he's off to a hot start. Grady Sizemore is also going to more than double the single season HR record. "Completely false." I believe he has two.

Barrett is going to break the record for allowing the most passed balls by a catcher in a season this year.
