  1. Throw some sort of easily detectable ingredient in there, like the dye in packs of money stolen from the bank. So you want weed smokers to turn purple? Maybe violet instead. http://www.dimensionsmagazine.com/images/be/violet/violet5.jpg
  2. right there with you Goony. something about the tequila buzz/drunk. it's like being drunk and on hallucinagens and speed all at once. instant personality. My wife calls it obnoxious, but I like to think of it as personality as well.

  4. Intervention....seriously...you neeeed help. You have to admit that's just more fun than saying "I'd prefer Dmitri Young". I just got that after reading it 10 times.
  5. Mmmmmmmmm, I love me the Jardin's margheritas. And I loves me some tequila. I'm a big wimp with lots of hard liquors, can't stand the flavory/sweet stuff. But I can drink beer and tequila all night, and usually do.
  6. No, they aren't the 2004 Cubs. But they are very similar. Week offense, with no patience, relying on pitching to carry them through.
  7. I'm sure they do, but then what do the Cubs do when Lee returns? His salary bumps to 12.5m with a trade, and is guaranteed thru 2007. He's got a limited no-trade, and would be tough to move even this next offseason. And you can't pay that much for a backup 1B.
  8. Goodie - another girl! :D At the risk of offending people, I'd actually be interested in a "sticky" post ID'ing the gal posters. That'll just encourage massive epooning and they won't even have to work to find out which ones are girls.... You don't know what that would bring upon yourself. epooning? e-macking, e-flirting, e-stalking, e-obsessions perpetuated normally by men toward women. Not pretty. Thanks again for getting those tickets for me in the spring dude! I never heard that term before, but figured it was something like that given the context. I agree, bad idea.
  9. If one of the corner guys could play 1B, I'd be all for such a thing, as long as Pie would get everyday duty. If he does great, fantastic, if he sputters along, send him down when Lee returns. If he sucks, send him back and get him more work.
  10. I think Opening Day. I thought they can go X number of days back into spring training.
  11. How far back can they backdate Miller's 60 day assignment?
  12. They probably have better stuff. But it wouldn't have to be government stuff, just government regulated. Ah, I gotcha, so business owners could grow whatever they want. Sort of, but it would all have to be approved by FDA standards, etc. It would then probably be taxed like crazy and cost way more per "pack" than cigarettes I don't know, you have a premium already built into the price due to all the government interference in place right now. Would reducing the barriers of entry into the business reduce costs and offset the taxes?
  13. The collision you referred to happened in the postseason, and as far as I know, didn't cause him to miss time. The longest he went midseason without playing was 3 and 4 games, which I believe were due to normal platoon situations, including Simon's hot streak.
  14. He missed a start, then came back and got rocked, and I think missed another start shortly after.
  15. I think they tend to make a lot of their own luck.
  16. They probably have better stuff. But it wouldn't have to be government stuff, just government regulated.
  17. Where is this board you speak of?
  18. Where would Cabrera be playing now though? I'm all for it just as you are. I just don't see it as a "Jim Hendry" type of move. He's played SS, 3B, LF and RF. I think he can play 1B now. Move him to LF when Lee returns and platoon Murton with Jones (although I'd just bench Jones if he still sucks).
  19. I don't see why they can't get Wilson because of Casey's health. Pittsburgh is already in the dumpster. Wilson is hardly the centerpiece of that franchise, and is probably gone come free agency anyway. Give 'em Sing to play 1B for now, and an arm, save them a few bucks.
  20. Z may be passionate, but is not a clubhouse cancer with attitude problems. Neither is Cabrera.
  21. Again, who are these other young talented players. These guys don't come available. And it's a huge stretch to call him clubhouse manure.
  22. uh...if that's true...wow. Silvy and Carm talked about it and replayed the clip. Gammons said it but I don't know if DLee said that to him. Although, it would seem crass for him to make it up. I wouldn't put it past him, he does it with trade rumors all the time. I don't think he makes up trade rumors. I just think he's all to eager to report what front office types tell him, and they know he'll report it, which is why they tell him. It's like GM's telling reporters who they plan to take in the NFL draft. Misinformation.
  23. If that is how things shake out then I have to ask why Hairston is even on the team. That's just Bruce's opinion. Stone suggested that Walker play 1B and Haiston 2B. No doubt Dusty is contemplating all of these options as I type. What happens when you stop typing? LOL, the lineup was complete. Please keep typing.
  24. End of discussion. yup Sign and trade man, that's the answer to all our problems.
  25. I'd love this work ethic hanging out in the Cubs clubhouse, .346/.443/.635.
