  1. i disagree, stupid penalty by Green. same thing happeened on the last fg drive by chicago and it wasnt called. i guess when u have pill popper throwing the passes u get some calls though
  2. what a joke of a response. the fact remains that he has dropped significantly on everyone's lists and has a LOOOONG way to go. in short, carlwell is a project. what are you talking about? i repeat, he played on the best illini team in history as a freshman. i can see the conversation now: lou: "sorry nick, i know you're averaging 20 points and are the heart of this team, but we're going to sit you so that marcus won't be a flop in the eyes of illiniguy". nick: "okay coach, anything for illiniguy's perception of marcus. i understand that his criteria for being a flop precludes you from starting me." this is one of the most ridiculous phrases that i've ever seen on this board. the illini lost the game because nobody blocked out sean higgins, period. whatever, he gave his time to the illini, he got out at the beginning of the sanctions. i can't fault him. maybe if he had gone to syracuse he could have sat behind derrick coleman while the flyin' illini came back to beat them in the regional final, i really don't care. he had a great sophomore season and he rode that to a lot of money. are you kidding me? HRF couldn't spell cat either, half the kids who you think of as illinois heroes were boxes of rocks, that doesn't separate them from marcus at all. luther head choked his girlfriend because she wouldn't watch roots with him, yet i think of his him as possibly a top 3 all-time player in illinois history. we won't even mention the incident with the open dorm room. heh, "master of everything illinois"? no, i just know more than you, which isn't hard. On whose list has Carlwell fallen exactly? He ranks around where the great Jon Scheyer is on rivals.com???? I don't think he has gone anywhere on anyone's "list" not that lists matter much EDIT: Carlwell is actually significantly higher than Scheyer on rivals.com rankings
  3. Reggie Bush
  4. and thats game
  5. reggie bush is probably the best college player i have ever seen. 500 total yards ??????
  6. vanderbilt beat tenn. LOL
  7. Orton and Grossman will make for a pretty good QB battle next summer. I wouldn't mind taking on another experiment late in the draft, but QB isn't going to be addressed this coming offseason. This team is going to win on the strength of defense and the running game. RB is set, both with quality and depth. WR is still filled with holes, but I don't see this team ever being a strong 3 WR offense. I wouldn't be opposed to a WR early, but it would not be a priority in the 1st for me. TE is hit or miss. I can't think of too many great 1st round TE in the league. I don't see a Shockey out there right now. Personally I'd rather wait for a TE in the 2nd or 3rd. FWIW, Orton has a lower QB rating than McNown did during his 1st year. Once Grossman comes back, I'd start Rex and go from there. The Bears will be a predom, 2 WR set, but they don't have two WRs right now. Bradley has to be considered a "?" b/c of his serious injury to his greatest asset, Gage is a #4 WR, Berrian has the ceiling of a #2 WR. Every position is hit or miss to an extent, I don't think TE is any exception. Plus, the few times I've watched UCLA, Lewis has separated himself in a similar manner as Heath Miller did last year. 2 weeks ago Orton had a better QB rating than the "great" vick
  8. wow i think 2 people are in attendance.
  9. so if you see the lions get a holding penalty, feel free to take a free cheap shot at garcia, since the penalties offset. what a stupid rule. and rw is still a horrible player and one of the ugliest people ever in the nfl..
  10. bad team, bad city, bad turf. Has anything good ever come out of Detroit? Disgusting. They can't even have a good field.
  11. i agree except with you. except they were not the best team in baseball this year.
  12. Good point....Good teams almost always take advantage of extra outs. I suppose you could turn that around and say they became a good team because they did well with all the extra outs. The Dye thing wasn't an extra out. Had it been called right, it would have still been 3-2 with 2 out. He might have walked on the next pitch. No way of knowing. Yes but the bad call led to circumstances which resulted in the grand slam. If the right call had been made, chances are the inning would of gone very differently.
  13. insane...another BS call from the umps helps the most classless franchise in the MLB
  14. Wait till basketball season. :( When Dee Brown and, um, wait, I know this one....oh well, Dee Brown will single handedly carry the Illini to 5th place in the Big Ten. 5th place in the big 10? Behind who? lol
  15. They are cocky and arrogant because they celebrated winning a playoff game? AJ even said in his interview he didnt know if it hit and wasnt cocky about it at all he just gave Crede credit for getting the hit. I know you guys hate the White Sox and its understandable but there was nothing arrogant about what AJ did. as soon as the game was over, AJ was interviewed and he said he thought the ball hit the ground. I say he had no clue. his first move was to the dugout, then he turned around and ran to first. AJ is a liar then. You are correct his first move was to the dugout. He is a classless person - this is known around baseball, just ask the SF pitching staff from last year. Apparently he has as much honesty as he does good looks. Zero.
  16. The bears really should win this game.
  17. playoffs are all about luck. and judging by the skill of the white Sox hitters, any time they score a run its probably luck. 6 runs? extremely lucky
  18. I wonder if the tough guys in baseball could take a hit from Ray Lewis?
  19. needs 2 more correct?
  20. he is already has a lot of exposure
  21. why don't they rip francoeur for not being a good fundamental hitter ? He has 1 walk in like 130 ABs. Oh wait he has had a good 130 ABs hes a future ALL STAR just like Bo Hart!!!!
  22. vlad is a horrible hitter according to that
  23. the royals gain on the sox! They can make a run at this division
  24. as long as we have macias as protection for Lee , they gotta pitch to him! Man Dusty, you are a genius dude. Is Macias behind Lee ?
  25. I actually laughed at that. You still gotta blame Corey man. This guy isn't doing anything. For all his "talent" hes batting in the eight hole. don't worry we still have our best hitter in the pasat month in the lineup. oh wait he was pinch ran for lol @dusty bkaer
