usa loses to finland 4-3...they didnt play well at all and were still in it. this was a transition olympics anyway from the leetch/amonte/roenick/madano/chelios group to the jack johnson/phil kessel/erik johnson/parise generation of players. USA really played well enough to win or tie against Sweden, Russia, SLovakia, or Finland but just couldn't finish their chances.

racism? or because the guy seems like a horrible self-centered person who refused to compete in a team event that he had agreed to do? Give me a break, its not because of racism. I won't even go into the stupidity of the media in celebrating someone winning a medal b/c of their race...

slovakia has 2 really good lines at forward, and 1 really good pair of d. their goalie isnt that great. overall, the us is deeper but not really more talented. should be a good game

why shoudl teams even bother playing duke. if you are close the refs will just help duke win, as we can see by the last two games. 8v5 is not fair 42 fts for duke 11 fts for fsu and non-calls on sheldon williams that had even vitale angry

with iowa's tendency to choke as the big ten schedule winds down, i doubt the game @ Illinois will mean anything anyway. but if it does, i cannot see iowa winning. Illinois played horribly @ Iowa and still kept it close msot of the game. If they show up at home they should win easily.

yes he is Zook always gets it done come signing day. It's game days that he struggles with. meh. urban meyer was left with a much better team in florida than zook was, and didn't do to well either

Maybe AD should leave his loudmouth verbally abusive wife at home for road games. She should not be allowed to attend any games for a while, and he deserved his suspension.

Or its possible that the Giants coaching staff let their team down by having a horrible game plan, and not being very prepared for the game. After watching the Giants play, I would lean toward that.

Has anyone ever seen ndistops and John Clayton in the same place at the same time??? :shock: I thought it was the panthers game plan to spot the bears 10 points early and win anyways. I guess thats why I will never be a big time football anaylist like John Clayton.

They are right. This is a different Carolina team. The Carolina team the bears played in Week 11 had won 6 straight and was an offensive juggernaut. They are not playing nearly as well right now as they were in Week 11, despite what all the "experts" (most of whom have no greater knowledge than you or me) say.

I disagree. Playoff experience really meant nothing when NE won their first time, or when St. Louis won their first time. Or when Carolina made it to the super bowl, etc.

That is what really gets me. The Panthers were dominating before they came into Chicago. Just because they beat an Atlanta team that had no interest in the game, and the won a playoff game somehow they are playing at a whole new level? I don't buy it. I am not saying Carolina isn't good - I just think the reasoning makes no sense.
