    horsefeathers, i was excited about miguel cairo and robin jennings at one point 14 y.o. me was really bummed when they had to get rid Cairo and Robert Machado because of a roster crunch. I was crushed when Patterson blew out his knee. He was having a great season.

    I'm awful at determining value. Sounded like $25m a year wasn't a ton for an ace caliber pitcher but obviously age is a factor I'd go 3/$75 with a 4th year vesting option similar to Verlanders (top 5 in Cy Young)
