  1. He's got the eye of the tiger tonight. I love it.
  2. Hopefully Schwab's knee will hold up scoring from 2nd.
  3. He got a 1-2-3 inning last inning too, but West disagreed: [tweet] [/tweet]A clean one! Thank you Jakester.
  4. I want the Cubs to grind out the AB's and force high pitch counts - just like they did all year. Make Tomlin work. They've been way too aggressive and a ton of strikeouts (13 tonight I think)
  5. Cubs get to redeem themselves against Tomlin. The bats have got to get going.
  6. Let's grind out the AB's and make these guys pay!
  7. This strike zone the whole series has been totally inconsistent.
  8. Who takes responsibility for this - players, Mallee, Maddon, front office? Do we need to assign blame? It's a very young team that was pressing against very good pitching. The front office, Joe and the hitting coach? They won 103 games and are struggling in the World Series. What "responsibility" are you looking for? I don't know what the pitches / plate appearance was for the game but it seemingly was 0-2 for many AB's. Not the approach that got us here. Rizzo doubles to lead off an inning and BZ, Willy and Addy fail to get him home. horsefeathers - Rizzo didn't even advance to 3rd. All around, it's been a shitty performance and I really don't think Cleveland is that much of a juggernaut.
  9. If we win tomorrow, hopefully Joe can institute a dress up for the plane ride to Cleveland or bring in a magician.
  10. They hit at least 3 balls today off kluber and miller that would've been home runs yesterday and they could get it out of the inflield against some phucking scrub who gave up more home runs that 99% of the league. Yeah that irritated me. Prior to last night's game, USSoccer was taking heat for thinking that the wind blowing out would negatively affect the approach of our young hitters. I didn't think it would, but watching the game and looking at the percentage of swings they took at pitches outside of the zone, I think that's exactly what happened. Being beaten outright I can accept, but giving away a game you should win by abandoning the approach that brought you success all year is just infuriating. Who takes responsibility for this - players, Mallee, Maddon, front office?
  11. Which makes last nights 1-0 loss even more tough to take.
  12. Who cares. Pretty sure the attendance totals aren't engraved on the WS trophy.
