Good news? It's an extremely cautious timeline, which I am fine with, but this injury shouldn't be a 2 month ordeal like this. They don't really need to push him though and this should keep him fresh for October. We shouldn’t be surprised. They are prolonging the inevitable, he’s gonna go under the knife again - if not now, then in the off season. Say hello to 2020.
Probably not gonna happen but Cubs need a # 1 or 2 starter. Lester is the ace followed by 4 4/5’s. Bullpen can’t keep getting 12 outs the rest of the season.
Internal pitching options for a starter - besides Adbert and Underwood - in the short term (0-2 years), what other candidates do the Cubs have in the system that are legitimate options to become a starter? Not a bullpen guy, but a starter. We hear about he efforts that have been made in previous drafts to develop pitching, but it seems pretty thin. The inconsistency with Yu and his issues only point a bright light on the lack of internal options. For example, is Lange the guy? Doesn’t appear so far.
Aside from his showboating, laziness, and inability to adhere to the Cardinal Way, nothing. Stupid, worthless, no good, [expletive], free loading son of a bitch. [expletive], big mouth, know-it-all, horsefeathers, jerk.
Chatwood will be effectively wild, hitting 2 batters, causing a bench clearing brawl. The Cubs have owned the VB’s this year - the VB’s are in search of a spark to light the fire. Cubs go on to win 6-3.
boy, that's a real horsefeathering who's who mobbing him at the plate. praise jebus for ricketts stealing theo Lovin the you cant see me (or whatever you call it) from Soriano.
Darvish sucks right now, hopefully he turns it around. I don’t think the Chicago reporters are leading this charge, his performance is. Yu needs to put his big boy shorts on (or pants, if you don’t like shorts).
