  1. On ESPN during the updates they said they have made some major steps in finally getting the trade to go through. haha I think I got 160!
  2. I dont know if this has been posted anywhere yet but just saw this on ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3224091 seems like its pretty darn close!
  3. Fixed. :D :triplemiddlefinger: Hawkeyes suck! go Boilers! haha jk but we did just beat u in B-ball
  4. I cant imagine it being a problem to have three lefties, that is unless the those lefties are bad.
  5. I wouldn't like the three for Padilla, but throw Bryd in there to platoon with Pie and then sign Lieber....I'm liking the looks of our team except shortstop. But in that deal you kill two birds with one stone.
  6. Totally agree with you on this one...I mean the guys old, but he can still pitch and seriously i really don't want to see Dempster who cant throw strikes for one inning through his horrible split finger and walk the first 5 guys up every game haha!
  7. "It's on PA desk ready to be approved. Could happen in a week" Ha Cubbie Chris im watching Once as right now this movie is amazing and the music is amazing my friend recommended it. Cool! Glad you enjoyed it man! You'll be buying the soundtrack... ha already did off of itunes like midway through ha

  9. That's funny, I count one pitcher on the Tigers that's better than Rich Hill. It's Verlander, Rogers, Bonderman, Willis, Robertson in the rotation. Hill is better than the last four. ha thats funny cause Bonderman is a much better pitcher than Rick Hill. Rogers is old, Willis iffy, and Robertson is a back of the rotation guy. I completely disagree with the Hill is better than the last 4 maybe better than hes about even with the last 3 and no nowhere near Bonderman.
  10. The Marshall bit was complete speculation on my part. Don't worry about it. Well im not really, but on there other hand thats sounds like a terrible trade that hendry could do just to try to acquire one need for our team.
  11. Im ok with Bryd....Cause no one is guaranteeing that Pie will ever actually happen, but for Marshall thats a terrible trade...like someone mentioned before hes a fourth outfielder who could fit in in a platoon with Pie. Please just trade some no names for him!!!!!!
  12. Link works for me. Here's a quote: Is the prospect any good? I mean is a good single A guy?
  13. Agree with this though I think 1. Starter 1a. SS 2. CF (like Lofton for a year) and so on.....
  14. As long as we dont give up Hill I'm willing to give up a fair amount of prospects for Roberts
  15. Theriot. Khalil Greene will start No offense to you in particular, but why is everyone so nuts about the average SS Khalil Green?
  16. but he hasn't been out because of it? people just think he's a risk? I really am confused sorry!
  17. Know I wasn't trying to argue with him, but I've heard he has injury risk, when was this? that was a ? sorry I didnt make that more clearer
  18. Bedard is not a work horse. ERA and IP each year 2004 137.3 IP, 4.59 ERA 2005 141.7 IP, 4.00 ERA 2006 196.3 IP, 3.76 ERA 2007 182.0 IP, 3.16 ERA Didn't we just say that his first two years he was injured? I pretty sure the last two were his healthy ones and thats not to shabby almost 200 the last two?
  19. You...do know that that's really low, right? Oh man, I missed that sentence. Fanatic, you might NOT want to mention that when you're trying to compliment Theriot. By comparison, Juan Pierre had a stellar .330 OBP in his one year in Chicago. The fact is noted and it won't be used again but just for the rest of you: Khalil Greene last year had a stellar .291 OBP last year. But what was his slugging and such? You put Greene in Wrigley, he will dwarf Theriot in every category minus OBP. His OPS would probably be close to 200 points higher. They are two different players, Theriot is a total slap hitter. Khalil isn't exactly a power hitter, but they have different approaches at the plate. You can't use OPS to compare to slap hitters.
  20. He hasn't pitched worse than Hill? I don't understand where you are saying that Hill is better than him? Sorry not trying to be rude I just don't understand your argument wheres the proof? I didn't say Hill was better. I just said they're "interchangeable" meaning the difference between the two is insignificant. Rich Hills probably going to have another year with an ERA in the mid to high 3's. Bedard's going to regress from his career year to a year in the high 3s. They're pretty much the same. And the league difference is half a run, max. Ok I understand the ERA argument and agree with you, but I still can't say they are interchangeable he has been the work horse of the Orioles rotation over the last few years. I can't make a statement that a number 3 starter in his first year with a team is the same as putting the Ace of another team on a new team. Hill is no ace right now and maybe Bedard isn't an ace for half of the teams in the major leagues, but the guys put in the innings and has shown he can do it better than Hill has thus far. Don't get me wrong in the long run maybe, but right now I don't think you can make that statement.
  21. He hasn't pitched worse than Hill? I don't understand where you are saying that Hill is better than him? Sorry not trying to be rude I just don't understand your argument wheres the proof? It's in the pudding. Ok don't understand that, but there is no proof that you could say that Hill is better or probably even going to be better than Bedard, wasn't Bedard the higher rated prospect to begin with?
  22. He hasn't pitched worse than Hill? I don't understand where you are saying that Hill is better than him? Sorry not trying to be rude I just don't understand your argument wheres the proof?
  23. Please explain this Second what King said. I mean, I'm sure you have plenty of statistics to back this up and everything, because I've never really seen you say something you couldn't support (outside of maybe the anti-Pie stuff), but all the statistics I'm looking at show Bedard putting up Rich Hill like numbers last year in the AL East, which is much better than the NL Central. I can support PIEce of crap thing, but I choose not to. I can do this as well. It's not complicated. Career years do NOT i repeat NOT establish a new line of production. Bedard next year won't be all that different than say, aaron harang. good? of course. worth as much as some teams are offering? not even close. That was a career for Bedard, but hes been very good for a very crappy Baltimore team for the last 4 years. Don't tell me you think that him and Hill are even. You also have to factor in one is pitching in the American League East thats gonna hurt alot of your numbers not to mention having no offense to back you up. Thats a strong statement to make after one big year in the majors.
  24. No real news, but heres the latest on Rotoworld with Tejeda which will probably be the first step in us getting Roberts Sources told FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthat that, although the two sides have discussed a trade, the Orioles and Astros are not close to a Miguel Tejada trade. The Astros apparently believed a trade was possible Wednesday night, telling at least two other clubs that they were on the verge of a major deal. They were apparently working on a four-team trade at the time. Rosenthal doesn't believe an offer of Chris Burke, Adam Everett and a pitcher would be nearly enough for Tejada. The Orioles, though, may have to come down on their price if they really hope to rebuild. Source: FOXSports.com
  25.
