  1. Who gets called up in September? Pie, Weurtz or Hart (not happy bout that), Micha, Who else or any of those you guys think wont get called up?
  2. I do not understand any of this at all....Seriously what could be going through his head?
  3. He was sitting Jones for a while if I remember correctly earlier in the season
  4. Red Sox will pay for all of the remaining money on Manny's contract and Craig Hansen was also in the deal
  5. Me neither, That would be someone I really wouldnt mind dealing Pie for!
  6. I'm pissed he's my favorite player....ahhhhhhhh....I might have to get his jersey :x cause that will look pretty cool in black and white
  7. Oh yeah its very close this season. I agree with that, I was just saying when you said you thought Dunn was better than Manny at 29. Now though its much closer, but still Manny is dominant even at 36
  8. They needed one big bat for the last like 4 years since Garrett Anderson's pop went away. They got it and now they are the favorite over Boston to go to the World Series.
  9. This is what I was referring to. I meant the Manny at age 29 were better than Dunn's
  10. Haha at least the last two teams
  11. That's fine, but regardless I still am keeping my point that Manny was better than Dunn at this age.
  12. Lou wouldn't. Id take Kotsay, but Ohman Lou as well as everyone in Chicago has seen enough of his badness.
  13. Oh I wouldnt say its the most important, but to say its not at all important when comparing hitters makes no sense
  14. It doesn't. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard explain please? First off if you basing it on OBP there probably even over there career. So how on earth could batting average not matter when comparing two hitters?
  15. because that matters when comparing numbers of two hitters?
  16. A small trade can't get much smaller than a 1/1 trade. Of course, there's always the trade of one player for a bag of balls. Haha
  17. I don't think so Dunn is no where near manny's average and he strikes out a ton. Unless that was just the last 5 years?
  18. I wouldn't say Dunn will come cheaply, but it sounds like there is very little interest in him. While we'd obviously have to give up something better than what the Reds will get back in draft compensation, but that'd sure be worth it for the stretch run (and our draft compensation). Frankly, I don't buy the whole "intradivision" pricetag in a situation like this where one team is way out and the player will be a rental. If the Reds like what we're offering more than 2 draft picks, then why should they hurt their team by turning us down? They aren't competing against us for the rest of the year. Given that Ibanez has some teams very intersted in him with the M's having a big asking price, I really don't think the cost will be that different for the two players. And definitely nowhere near the difference value. I really would love Dunn really guys, but there is no way and I mean no way that were getting Dunn...First off we dont have the assets to attain him...secondly Hendry has already said there probably will only be a small trade if any.
  19. All I'm saying is having him on the bench as another left handed bat(assuming we dont give up a lot and hes ok with that role) I would deal for him.
  20. For a 120 OPS+, I'd give a couple of decent minor leaguers. Ibanez would force Edmonds to the bench and give us a heck of a pinch hitter. I'm not convinced Edmonds will stay healthy all year. I agree with you...Even if Ibanez isn't playing real well this year the fact that we could get another left handed center fielder in case of a Edmonds injury.
  21. Ha yeah right, but sign me up if they'd do it
  22. No chance the Sox get Manny besides having solid corner OF's they also have no prospects or anyone that Boston would be after. Fields maybe since Lowell is older, but I don't think they'd be after a 3B who the Sox already say cant play 3B.
  23. If he would be willing to be on a winning team and be a bat off the bench and not be a cancer if he wasnt starting....And yes thats alot to ask for.....I'd take him in a second for our fourth outfielder
  24. Just reported on ESPN 1000 that Manny wont be going to the Phillies. They said that Burrell is there LF and that Manny hasn't played RF in years.
