Either Gene Clines is nervous, knows he's getting canned, or he is stupid. Because he is stuttering and sounds so stupid when talking about "young hitters" and "ramirez struggling". . He's basically telling us what's happening, but now how to FIX IT!!

Santo talked to Dusty in the pre-game show. Didn't talk about much really but the struggling. . Now Santo is talking to the HITTING COACH! gene clines. I mean WHEN has he ever talked to gene clines!? Maybe it's to say goodbye I hope!! :D

I mean, honestly. Why the F is Neifi out in SS instead of Cedeno? Does Cedeno REALLY need the day off?

Wait about a week, and if we're lucky. We might have a manager that puts him out in LF every day.

If something is going to happen, I don't see why not next week. If nothing was going to happen, Hendry would say so, he always has in the past. GMs don't talk about "evaluating everything" without bringing out the axe. I just don't see how "he will use the four-day break to decide whether an overhaul is in order" means he's going to fire Baker and the whole coaching staff next week. Especially after the 4 day break. Maybe I'm reading too much into his comments. Maybe he wil fire Baker Sunday night and then evaluate the rest of the team over the next 4 days. Still, I'll believe it when I see it. He is just saying that to basically hint to them "you are gone". He will probably do it at the beggining of the ASB. I'm with you a little bit, I'll wait until I break out the champaigne. But every paper and radio station is talking about it. It's gonna happen. SO get the bottle out, and I'll drink it with ya after it happens!!

Loosing is not misery. Loosing is good. I hope the Cubs loose that last few games before the ASB. Then, there will be no question on JH mind, he has to make a change. Then we finally can wave bye-dee-bye to Baker, Rothschild, Mathews, and Clines. The last thing I want is a 4 game winning streak going into the ASB. So, LOSE LOSE LOSE!!! you honestly can watch and wish them to lose? :cry: ummm. . . . let me see. . . . . . . . YES!!! I finally put on my bright new Cubs jersey out and about today because of all the talk of Dusty and his "coaches" possibly getting kicked out of town. I put it on, because I look foward to coaches who do not tell batters to be aggressive at the plate, and a manager that might actually play some kids to find out what we've got for next year. Coaches that instead of ruining Corey Patterson types, could teach him to flourish. We all know if Dusty stayed Nevin would play LF and you'd see Neifi, and Nevin over the likes of Walker and Murton. If we need another SP heck we might even see Hill back up here instead of deadweight Rusch taking a spot from a possible future Cubs starter. Now you tell me, if it means Dusty and his crew are gone. What is wrong with them loosing? When we get those guys outta here then I am going to bleed for every Cubs win, even if they don't matter this year. Because I feel like we'll finally be on the right track for next year!!

This is the part I like. . Boy isn't it exciting. If we got someone like Shines. We'd see (probably). . Guzman Pitching Hill Picthing (maybe?) Matt Murton in LF Felix Pie (if Pierre is traded) and possibly even more young up and comers this year.

I'm gonna have dreams of Barret punching them in the face. Then Lee tossing them up and hitting a practice home run with them. And then them screaming as the camera follows them and then they splatter into a million gushy peices. . And then the NSBB'ers flying around and peeing on their remains. . . . . I have vivid dreams.

Amazing how the phrase "The MacPhail Thought Police" has swept across Cubs message boards & blogs over the past few weeks. usage example: The MacPhail Thought Police beat Williamson into submission. Uh. The MacPhail (F A I L) thought police. . . uh. . Are dumb? . . . like MacPhail is (F A I L). . . :)

I called this back on Jun-29. That Pierre will have a very good second half once dlee was back. He let his injury get to his head (IE: slumps when he doesn't have as many good hitters around him, because he tries too hard and slumps).

There's more core players than that, IMO. Lee Barret Aram Cedeno (and if he's not core, some low payroll team would give you something good) Jones (possibly, if you've got a BIG bat in LF) Zambrano And I'd consider Marshall and Marmol to be 2 really good young picthers to go with next year. IMO the positions that need to be addressed are. . . 2B LF CF SP SP If you can successfully get some GOOD guys for those positions to go around the good players we have at the other positions. We don't need no blowup, or firesale. We don't need no stinking blowup. 8) Seriously though, we do need to blow up the front office. It's only going to get worse with MacPhail and Hendry guiding this ship. I'll get the dynamite. 8)

I must say I like this scenerio, no matter how likely. I would LOVE that. Wow, nice high powered offense there. But I'll take ANY "change" right now. Move a couple people, bring a couple of other big people in. I just want to see some changes. And I wouldn't mind having A-rod here. Problem is you'd only have him 1 year and you'd be giving up ARAM for a 1 year superstar? (I mean how likely is it he'll want to stay with the cubs for anywhere less than $20 mil.)
