  1. We've Got Nothing
  2. How about Worthless General N\anager And then just draw a little slash near the N to make it Manager.
  3. That's not nearly enough to make this team contend. In THIS division? I think it does. But I agree on a personal level, I wan't more to really put us over the top.
  4. Thats all fine and dandy.. but is he going to be another guy like Hill who is amazing at AAA but cant get batters out in the Bigs??? I guess the only way to find out is to call him up and with the injuries to Marmol and Marshall we have a chance to find out. Which begs the question, why dont they call him up? That's unfair. Hill has never been given a fair, STABLE chance to be a big leager. Always ping ponged around from the minors to the bigs. Now is the perfect time to give him a dozen starts to see if he can finally click.
  5. other than yesterdays game and his last start... I can not think of a single time he has KEPT us in a game. I believe it's called sarcasm. ok well it is hard to tell if its sarcasim or not by reading text.... maybe you should note that you are being sarcastic... like i do. Just a helpful idea. That would be so much more effective if you knew how to spell sarcasm.  your right. unfortunately I am not a good speller Yes, you're right ! No, it's to YOUR right.
  6. He's NOT gone at the end of the year. Remember when everybody was crying for a lead-off hitter. Now we have one. He's improving his #'s and if he ends on a positive note, we will resign him. We should instead work on getting 2 starting pitchers, and 2 big bats. Whether they be in the position of SS, 2B, LF or RF it doesn't matter.

  8. An excellent response and very well related to the subject at hand. I concur without even reading what it's all about.
  9. Can't. Wuertz was already called up when Williamson was traded. I doubt they are going to try Rusch as a starter again. Let me rephrase that. I WILL KILL them, if the try to make Rusch of a starter again. It's ludicrous when we have guys like Ryu, Hill, and Guzman who should be given a shot. hu?where did you read that??? Transactions: The williamson trade post. Page 2-4 somewhere. 2 people on seperate occasions on that post said that. It's great that he's up. And if they need to get a guy to replace marshall that means they might likely pick HILL!!
  10. Too much text for me tonite sorry. Could you sum it up?
  11. That's funny. I didn't hear Aramis say anything like that either.
  12. Tell ya what. "his guys" are way better than "baker's guys". I have no problem with a manager who "has guys" if the "guys" are like Biggio and Bagwell. . . :D

  14. The problem I have with it is not the fact that people would boo Dusty, it's the fact that the producers of the show were recruiting for people to boo Dusty. So?
  15. Cosigned.
  16. Oh I guess that would be alright, too. Is it wrong for me to rather see Hill or Guzman instead of Prior? I really just want the Cubs to stop relying on him and Wood. I'd rather see one of our promising minor league guys over a guy who's been on the DL more and more as the last couple years have gone on.
  17. I agree there... the should plan with him pencled in as the 6th starter.. and if he is healthy bump him up to 5th starter and put one of the youngsters in the pen as a long reliever. I've been saying this all along. I said this in 2005, and I PRODOMINANTLY said it this year. BTW who are we talking about? :D Kerry or Prior, it doesn't matter. Point stands for both of them really.
  18. Just curious what you guys think. Kerry ain't pitchin no more. So. Z Marshall Marmol Prior ****** PLEASE say yes!!
  19. Well some pitchers (IE Zambrano) has enough raw talent to succeed in spite of the cubs organization. I see Marmol as the second coming of Carlos Zambrano (just not quite as good, but up there in that range of ability and results).
  20. UGh. That totally reminded me of a John Stewart line off of the daily show the other night. eww. Mind telling us the line there fella? It's not, eww, is it?
  21. Per Cubs scouting report. OK!!? If he could cut down his walks, he'd be GREAT!! I mean what part of a 3.86 ERA with the walks, is OK!!? He's got the second lowest ERA on our staff per 6 starts. Second only to Zambrano, and is in his first year, jumping straight from AA. What part of that and his ackomplishments, are OK!!?
  22. Why can't I stop laughing You keep picturing prior in that scene where he falls down the stairs ooching and ouching all the way down. BTW, PRIOR is starting? WTF? I thought he was going to be out for awhile.
  23. Bring on any one of those guys (including Giles). At least one of the Giles brothers would be on the Cubs. :D I would like Betemit, Aybar, Pena, etc,... YAY!! ONE of them!! :P
  24. I remember that was because Dusty and Co. wanted him to be calm and hide his emotion better. After Z sucked at the beginning they changed their position and told him to go back to behaving naturally and here we are! 8) He actually started improving after he broke his bat on his leg. I was like, YES!! OLD Z is back!! I knew he was gonna pitch a great rest of the game after that.
