  1. I hope Hill does well and continues to do well for the remainder of the year. I'd really like it to work out for him and for him to be our #3 or #4. I like the kid.
  2. Can Murton play RF? Can Jones?
  3. I don't think Hendry views Izturis as untouchable. I think he'd go in the right deal. Yeah, I think there are other GMs who think as highly of Izturis as Hendry. I'm holding out hope that he is traded to one of those teams for a legitimate major league player, and not another young Neifi. Will people get off this *#%$ "young neifi". Izturis isn't a "young neifi" ok. Plain and simple. Give the guy a chance to rebound from his injury. Let's call him "less durable Neifi". I'd personally like to call him a more patient, higher ceiling, younger, better hitter, better defender. I wouldn't call him "neifi" anything. Neifi is one of the worlds 11 worse offensive baseball players ever. Iztirus OBP is at .309 right now which probably has him far away from anyone in the top 10 (unlike neifi) and while I realize that isn't good. Izturis has shown ability to have average OBP for a SS while Neifi never has.

  5. I remember that time when he robbed steals away from good basestealers who got a great jump. Or when he grounded into a double play. Or when he swung and grounded out on the first pitch. . Oh wait he's done that hundreds of times. . . Yep, I remember them all. .
  6. They were talking about Bynum on WGN radio. Yuck. . Bynum can't even hit AAA pitching at this point. :x So, we need to replace neifi with someone who has neifi like qualities. :P
  7. I'm not. After last year's losing season, this year was his "one more shot." He failed. Bye-bye. I'm willing to give Baker a shot. . . . . A shot in the ass. with a shotgun.
  8. If that's the case. And you're probably right. Where the HECK do we improve offensively? If that's his plan, that sucks. We clearly need to say goodbye to SOMEBODY, to improve this offense. If anyone, it will be matt murton unfortunatly to get a power bat in LF. Even though he should think of improving offense at 2B, CF, or RF instead of letting go of Murton. Cedeno, Pierre, and Jones should be ahead of Mutt on the "must part with" list.
  9. Murton's name upside down has a "W" in it, and looks like Wnnfou.
  10. Honestly. I don't goto sleep normally until about 5. a.m. It is early for me. In 2 senses.
  11. So who WAS pitching in the next few days who will now NOT beable to pitch. And who will we likely see because of that? Will we likely have to replace 2 pitchers for their next starts? Possibly seeing. . Miller Ryu?
  12. Sorry but some people like the alternatives. I think the pinstripes look ugly IMO. Plus Zambrano likes the dark blue shirts and he is awesome. Trust me Zambrano knows what he's talking about. Bow to the blue!
  13. I think we're gonna get to see MORE rookie pitchers from our minors this week. Hill can't pitch, Guzman can't pitch. . .
  14. Comcast or ESPN might do it. But WGN never. WGN news follows, no post-game.
  15. Hendry's plan of stocking up on players good with RISP and 2 outs finally pays off! If I could exalt you on this board, I would. Hey, I could live with more players like Murton and less like Jones.
  16. I've been trying to get to this thread ever since the 9th. But both of my browsers are having errors (time to restore my comp). > But I DL firefox and all is fine.
  17. HOW MANY TIMES has murton come through with men in scoring position with 2 outs? Didn't the astros know Murton was CLUTCH!?
  18. I want to thank you all for all of your votes. I will start my tenure by starting Murton in LF every day, and rotating cedeno and theroit at 2B the remainder of the season. Neifi will assume Macias role of getting me coffee. And nothing more. Thank you.
  19. Not sure, but his offense has contributed quite well in some key situations.
  20. There's a reason why Hendry is the worst GM in baseball. (firmly) WE WANT YOUR TOP PROSPECT!! (murmur on phone) shama phaphum phaloc pharphanugen Ok we'll take Izturis!!!! YES WE GOT IZTURIS!!
  21. That would just show how stupid Baker is. No joke. yah.. you would prolly do better than Mr. Jim Fail Hendry.. probably? a chimp has a probable chance of doing a better job than hendry. mr. miles is almost a lock to do a better job, as are many of the posters here. Hell I'd do better. And I'm no baseball genius. I'd just come here and ask who I should get.
  22. I'd start Murton every day. Every day. You can spot Pagan in RF against lefties. There also is no reason Murton should be batting anywhere other than 2nd in the lineup. .298 avg/.365 obp...am I missing something here because Dusty certainly is. You're right. That's where I'd bat him, too. Yeah but with Izturis. We get, DOUBLE LEAD-OFF MEN!!
