  1. I would flip out, but I'm having enough trouble breathing.
  2. http://i.imgur.com/FxLs816.gif
  3. Based on my untrained eye, he looks like he has some pretty damn good bat speed. Is he a high K guy? Any way, I was an in on Abreu and I'm 100% on this guy. He actually plays a position at one of our biggest needs. It would be pretty sweet to add another legit bat especially for next year when you have one or both of Bryant and Baez coming up.
  4. nothing Earth shattering. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=23546
  5. extend shark trade hammel buy the absolute best FA OF this offseason fill holes with minors via mixture of trade and promotion our farm is ready.
  6. He's almost completely unknown to me too. One scout said he likes Gordon better than he liked Lindor back in 2011. I'd love Gordon if he could be a stellar defender with good plate approach and a good bat. With plus speed. I don't know if that's who he is. But you can bet if it is, then our FO will likely draft him.
  7. I think I'm gonna pretend that Javy Baez just doesn't exist.
  8. Bryant's such a Homer. http://www.catsdo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/doh.jpg
  9. Shark is good for the Cubs, I hope he stays. Not just ability but he seems to thrive with competition. Would be nice to keep that kind of leadership in the clubhouse.
  10. Gordon another Lindor? Sign me up for that.
  11. 300/310/310 with overrated defense go have have a frontal lobe lobotomy. Is that what it would take for me to think he's a great prospect? I'm too drunk tohave this ocnversion. You should probably "ocnvert" to being not drunk first.
  12. This is really old. I saw this months back.
  13. i can already imagine the terrible puns Like what?
  14. This is starting to sound like a game I want to watch a replay on. While I still have my leftover days of milb.tv that is.
  15. I was seconds away from posting it but I figured you had dibs. absolutely not, my dumb pictures and gifs are open for anyone to use. http://mattcat.imgur.com/all/ http://i.imgur.com/wgQbI6H.gif
  16. Much like the main character in Chronicle, he just needs to calm the [expletive] down, and learn to harness his power properly.
  17. It's like Chronicle, his nose bleeds when he uses his superpower. This is bad.
  18. I'd take Gordon. Cubs likely would take Jackson. Since I'm not sure any Cubs top employee has a hard on for Gordon.
  19. Probably not good enough for 1.1. 1.4? Now your in the conversation.
  20. Kolek (liked him the best from the beginning, have to stay loyal to that thought) Rodon Aiken Hoffman Nola
  21. I don't think Nola is an 11. And I think he's more than a 4th starter. I think he's got legit #2 possibility. I don't think he's a #4 overall talent, but the problem with this draft is I don't think the other guys are either. At least the ones likely to fall to us. Only Rodon, Kolek, and Aiken are in that "tier above the rest" in my personal opinion. After they fall off the board, I am looking at the next group and thinking, Nola is the most appealing to me. I'm higher on Nola than most though.
  22. And Nola is up to 6. if Aiken, Rodon, and Kolek are off the board, I think I'd take Nola or Jackson over Hoffman. I just really like Nola.
  23. Due diligence and everything. But I don't think Kolek will be there. Who knows maybe our FO thinks they have a read on the teams above them. We should be scouting Nola, but I haven't heard one report any of our guys have been at his games, have you?
