A New Era

I JUST missed out on a new league started up here by fellow NSBB fans who don't have as much exeprience or are just starting fantasy baseball. So I am going to get this started right now. I'd like to start a league and anybody who isn't in one yet, please join in!! Would like to go from 8-10 people so there is more talent to choose from.

How do leagues work? If I don't get in one that starts soon won't that take away from some of the experience? IE: if the season starts you already start to see how some players are doing. And the fun is guessing BEFORE hand. .

I don't think the add stands out much if you ask me. Infact, in that picture. It looks kinda neat. Adds sort of a new age "stamp" uniformely perfect on the left and right side right into the door that was the already there, anyway. It's not like it's a billboard. They painted the door. And it looks neato. But I'm in the minority and I'll probably be yelled at for not being a "true cubs fan". :cry:

This could be a really good pitching staff if one of those 2 is healthy and effective. I've said I think it will happen all along.

Saying he wants to stay with the cubs and he just doesn't want to talk about it during season (and it sounding more like he wants Zito MONEY, not so much Zito YEARS) is a whole heck of a lot different than the information we had, and way he said things before. .

Looks like we'll be seeing 16 radio and/or tv games this spring. I was affraid of alot of overlap. I haven't gone over it but if 14 games are on TV, that means 8 games overlap (tv & radio). And only 2 are unique to radio. But it's more than last year! Cool! I've been looking around tonite for a fantasy league to join. Sure my friend does a payout league but I think they've started already anyway so. . . Yes, I have NEVER played fantasy league baseball before and yes I think it would be alot of fun to play with posters here at NSBB!! So please consider me IN!! (it's not too late is it? Please tell me I'm in.)

It doesn't look that bad. Hopefully it turns a page on a new era for the cubs. An era of winning, and putting forth huge efforts to win every year. It's funny, I'm awaiting a name change that describes this new era as we speak. :lol:

"GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FIRST POST." 670 the score radio I know at noon every day Mike Murphy talkes about the cubs ALOT. He focuses on the cubs mostly because he is a cubs fan. People will tell you he is stupid and a moron. But I find that unfair. He is just a crazy cubs fan. Maybe not stupid and a moron, but he finds these little details and blows them up into a holy crusade. I've never seen a guy who can take something as minor as which foot a guy led off first base with, and turn it into an hour of ranting and raving about why the manager should be fired. It's patently ridiculous at times. That said, I still listen to him, so Murph wins. Mike Murphy is ignorant and awful. He knows nothing. He's a knee-jerk, conventional wisdom spouting idiot. His is far and away the worst radio show I've ever heard. His opinions and questions are consistently dumb. He's an embarrasment. I wish he weren't a Cubs fan. He makes us all seem stupid by association. Hey, chill out. Atleast he's nice to cubs fans. I don't know about you but I never disagree with whoever he is spouting on about (MacPhail, Hendry, ect. .) I don't care if he's nice to Cubs fans. I don't care for his shallow and pedantic rants about Andy MacPhail ("F-A-I-L"). I don't care for his bits. I'd rather listen to someone intelligently breaking down things and using logic and reason to analyze a situation, than listening to a visceral knee jerk rant that never scratches the surface of insightful.
