  1. Guys, please, scale it back; you're enjoying this season a little too much!
  2. More like Chase Buttley.
  3. DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER LAUGHTER?!??

  6. So Dick Tracy was less of a comic strip and more of a documentary?
  7. Welp, you know David just ruined it. Cubs lose 18-3.
  8. Every time Castro gets a hit sontensei cries a little. And pees a little.
  9. Man, not having to worry about batting for the pitcher is the best thing in the worrrrrrrrrrrrrllllllllllllllllllllllllld.
  10. I'm going to say I offended Coghlan by pointing out how terrible he's been.
  11. Hammel's innings pitched/injury history has been explained multiple times now. Yes it has, but pulling someone after 65 low stress pitches is still odd. Just taking advantage of being a hot/good team. It's a valuable luxury.
  12. Hammel's innings pitched/injury history has been explained multiple times now.
  13. Bottom line, Kobe's career was able to continue like it did because of when that happened; with the way we're inundated with information about these kind of scandals today he'd be toast. Kane isn't have a Kobe career unless he's completely exonerated. Look at a guy like Ray Rice; that's more like what he's going to run into if he can't shake this. Man, it's just pointless to expect people to be neutral when almost everything we post here are our opinions.
  14. You don't know anyone like Patrick Kane. It's a big mistake to try and equate him as being like someone you've known. And outside of what I've explained already, 9 times out of 10 if somebody with some kind of power, be it celebrity or financial or political or as a boss/supervisor/CEO etc., is accused of sexual assault or misconduct I think they're guilty of it, and ESPECIALLY when it's someone who has had that power for a long time or basically grew up with it. Their sense of what they deserved or are owed or what they can take is just so skewed and fucked up. Then you start specifying things like a history of violence and substance abuse and treating women as little more than conquests? That's a real close line that they can fall over very easily.
  15. I don't care about Kobe's bank account; people didn't forget, and atheletes who get wrapped up in this kind of thing today have even less of a chance of it being forgotten and it not impacting their career, thankfully. And what are you even talking about with the second part? You're the guy that acts like every bit of negative Bulls or Bears news is the end of the world; when are you "neutral" about anything? This is what I was talking about before; everything we talk about here is driven by personal opinions, but all of a sudden a popular Chicago athlete is accused of something terrible and suddenly some of the most heated posters here all, "well, nobody should be taking sides" or "we need to be neutral" or "you're just biased!"
  16. Apparently I read too many Deadspin comment sections or just have jerk friends or something.
  17. I wasn't talking about money; that Ween guy was trying to say people forgot about it, period. My point was that despite everything he did or got since then, people do still joke about it or take shots at him over it. It doesn't just go away, even if the accused goes on to make a gajillion dollars. And why should I or anyone else posting here care about "remaining neutral in the case?"
  18. When should they start thinking about moving Coghlan from the #3 spot? I understand the late in the game switch reasons, but he's been absolutely wretched this month and was unremarkable at best in July. He's obviously not hurting the lineup, but I'd prefer to make a good thing even more gooder.
  19. Because, again, it's much more likely that she's the victim. As passionate as you are I seriously doubt you're so determined to be evenhanded when it comes to things like, say, police violence. You're not being "fair" here; you're just as swayed by personal opinion as I am.
