He's already won a WS; maybe he just wants to finish his career on the same team. I suppose there's something to be said for playing your entire career with one team, especially these days. But considering what the Phillies have become, that could make it more depressing. Jeter, for example, may not have gone out on one of the better Yankees teams, but at least they were kinda-sorta contending until the end of the season. Phillies are pretty much waiting for the clock to wind down. Plus if they keep him and he does well they don't draft Bryant.
