  1. Cal Ripkin is doing color and the guy who does Brewers games is doing PBP. He sounds like a golf announcer.

  5. Look at that beautifully bearded bastard blast the ball.
  6. Doesn't seem unusual. Look for your chum elsewhere.
  7. There ain't no dumbbells in here; just his balls. Was at a wedding and decided to watch the replay of the game while going over the game thread...I recognized the reference immediately, with the accent in my head and everything, but took me half a minute to understand WHY it happened. Well played. http://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/high_five_archer.gif
  8. If anything, the one game playoff specifically should have had people clamoring for them to get another quality starter; that game is potentially a spanner in the works in regards to how a team would want to or have to user their starting rotation at the end of the season and in the first round. Adding a another good starter just gives a team that much more ammo to roll with that and increase their odds of being able to comfortably throw someone out there their confident can give them a great chance to win critical games. It's not like they're anywhere near having too many good starters.
  9. Yes, a lot of people thought he sucked when sucked, which was up until about a week ago. He really sucked for a while. It happens. Oh, yeah. I agree he sucked. But I couldn't tell (can't tell, still) if people think he is going to stay suck for good or if he was just being a rookie. I think most are just assuming it's the league adjusting and him going through growing pains.

  11. The 5th starter really doesn't matter. Remember Shawn Estes in 2003? The 5th starter DOES matter when your team is fighting to make the playoffs.
  12. I kind of was too and I was very very wrong I think. They're for sure more aggressive if the division was actually in sight but what they did was perfect for fighting for a Wild Card. Go out and try for the division next year. The raving gibberish of a delusional madman. Especially the bold.

  14. SMASH THEM. CLUB THEM. GRIND THEM UP FOR FOOD.
  15. They're beyond losing like mortals at this point. This is no place for cowards.
  16. That is the dumbest thing youve ever posted. It's like you're physically incapable of realizing how unlikely it is for the Cubs to lose the game at this point. Almost as incapable as you are of admitting you're wrong sometimes Hysterical shrieking. Every. Single. Post.
  17. The win expectancy for being up 2 with a runner on first and 2 outs in the top of the 9th is 97% you goon. ITS JASON MOTTE YOU'RE KING OF THE MEATBALLS.

  19. you want him serving up fastballs to duffy and posey? Likely wouldn't even get to Posey. Buncha wimps.
  20. Just let him finish it and don't waste another damn reliever.
