Who cares - if we keep playing like this, everything will take care of itself man. We're not going to keep playing like this. And we have like 3 teams we want to lose, so it'd be nice if some of them were doing it now. Exactly. I'm thrilled to have won 9 games in a row, but if we lose and the Pirates win today, we'll have gained all of one game on them in a stretch of 9 out of 10 wins. So the Cubs still have their WC spot. Oh, come on; Schwarber's been fantastic, but he's not been carrying the team by himself. Sitting him against a very tough leftie isn't the end of the world, and the rest of the lineup can still do some damage.

What do we do in CF? Jason Heyward + Tyson Ross trade (let's say Baez & Castro without much else coming back) + Howie Kendrick at 2B Man, I like the way you think, but there's no way they sign Heyward and Kendrick AND a starting pitcher, sadly. But I like that dream.

Because the bullpen has been stretched and used a ton lately. Should be able to finish this game with everyone but Richard and Rondon. He ended up throwing, what, 106 pitches? It's fine; they've done well managing his workload and were trying to give the pen a break.
