  1. Nope. It basically just means they couldn't find DNA evidence of Kaner droppin' loads. Considering they DID find his DNA where she was injured he's nowhere near in the clear. Here's a hypothetical: Kane forces her in a compromising position, penetrates her with his turgid little rat stump, disgustingly pumps his hips a couple times before deciding "[expletive] this" and pulls out. Is that not rape? Is that not sexual assault? That she was injured and those injuries link directly to him means, what, exactly? Why does that DNA evidence mean nothing, but the lack of [expletive] DNA mean everything? There's a whole host of scenarios where Kane still assaults or rapes her without leaving behind that kind of DNA evidence, the most simple of which is that he used a condom. But I doubt you'd leap to the MRA touchstone of "rapists don't use condoms!" like the former DA laughably did in the article linked.
  2. Absolutely nothing except a very brief thread about in on Reddit from 4 days ago that's basically dead that linked to this: [tweet] [/tweet] That guy says it was going to be posted "on the website," presumably meaning here: http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/category/sports/ But I can't find anything there. He then uses his feed to basically ask Cubs reporters to confirm or deny the comments. Soooooo, yeah, seems like complete BS.
  3. Might want to tap the brakes there. Yeah, it doesn't prove innocence. That said, like David said, it's probably the closest thing we'll get to proof of innocence, and probably means that most fans are going to give him a free pass. Kane probably doesn't even need settle now. It's a case that prosecutors are probably going to be very hesitant to pursue. They still found his DNA from the injuries/marks on her leg and shoulder where she said he bit and scratched her. People are acting like this is a slam dunk, but rape kits specifically look for DNA evidence from the accused on the victim elsewhere and not just the genitals since the accused could have used a condom or pulled out or penetration was actually minimal, which typically makes THAT kind of DNA evidence difficult or impossible to find down yonder.
  4. Where ya been, buddy? Have you seen that the Cubbies are in the midst of pounding the [expletive] out of your beloved Redbirds this series? Working and driving. Listened to the game on radio today. Pat Hughes' call of the Russell play was tremendous. Because in his usual Pat Hughes' way he made it sound like it was big for the opposing team?

  6. Why does it have to be an either/or? It's a question of resources. At the end of the day, great as he is, Chapman is still a relief pitcher. That should put him further down the list in terms of areas the Cubs should be spending their trade chips and money on. Since their bullpen has been pretty damn good and isn't a glaring weakness, there's not a real need to go out and trade for a closer who will then be a FA after next season. I'd want them to look to make other moves in regards to the OF and the starting rotation before they start looking at a relief pitcher. At the end of the day, I don't think there's been enough of a difference between Rondon and Chapman to give up what it would take to trade for him. I agree with all this. I was speaking more long-term. So was I.
  7. He's logged in right now. SPEAK TO US, HEARTBROKEN CARDINALS FAN.
  8. I was at Wrigley for the clinch in 2008 and that was just an incredible feeling. They were on such a damn roll.
  9. I dunno, game 5 and its afterglow was like a dream. Yeah, what's happening right now is [expletive] fantastic, but for anyone who can remember game 5 of the 2003 NLDS, or hell, after game 4 of the NLCS of 2004, this doesn't even compare. Everything was going right; the team was stacked and seemed set to win then AND going into the future. I remember just being so ridiculously happy about those playoff wins; never felt like anything like it over any other sports win. the nlcs game 4 afterglow was just incredible. especially because game 4 was a blow out. zambrano, prior, wood just needing to win one game. come on. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/epicrapbattlesofhistory/images/a/a9/Crying-gif-24.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150227011925

  11. I like names on the back of the jerseys since most of the time I have no idea who these lunkheads are when they first show up. Plus I'm, like, angry at numbers and stuff.
  12. I do. It is overbearing when they are winning, but oh so delicious when we are concurrently donging them to death. Oh, I have no problem with them rubbing it in their faces. Steal bases and bunt for hits when you've got a big lead late, pitch 'em inside, get all pumped up and show it on the field; but actually hitting them with the current narrative is just a tad annoying. I seriously doubt any of them were intentional, but I just hate that they can go, "SEE?!? Nobody's as our classy team made up of jerks that smell bad!" Give them nothing but shame and regret.
  13. As awesome as Maddon's comments are, I really wish they hadn't hit any of the Cardinals at all today. Their team and their fans have a persecution complex that puts Kim Davis to shame and I don't want to see that fed.

  15. Not if we all do it. This should be our "I AM SPARTACUS"-moment.
  16. I was just going to post the same thing.
  17. Well, now he's just being cruel, what with his fancy book-learnin' words and whatnot.
  18. Well, yeah, I'd rather have Mike Trout over Bryant, but hey, sometimes you have to settle for the guy who is just really, really, really good instead of the best.
  19. did not disappoint I'm so pissed I can't see it. Describe the glory. Some guy hit a ball that had a trail of fire behind it. It looked sure to blaze right through Fowler's chest and to the wall for an inside-the-park home run. Then, suddenly, the skies parted and a dong descended from heaven. And verily, as the prophecies had foretold, it was not a dong of bat, but a dong of glove. Streaking through the sky, Addison Russell snatched the ball of fire from the air. As the runner was a step away from second base, Addison transferred the ball from his glove to his hand, using only the power of love. The ball was flipped to Javier Baez, who stretched out his arm, stretched it to the length of 7 mighty men. The flip was in time. The Cubs were victorious. Is that too long to have tattooed to my back?
  20. Sooooooooooooooo thank goodness tree missed his next start.
