    find a way to break a curse, do whatever you have to. this team is capable of winning a world series. hey, remember in 2003 when we hadn't lost 3 in a row all year until the nlcs, just when we were about to make it to the series? anybody remember 1984? they can't get there, it cannot be explained. I think that they've only been to the NLCS 3 times in the 46 years it's existed kinda explains it pretty well.

    Now I'm at the point of hoping they manage to just lose the series normally. Just get swept like a regular [expletive] team that played terribly for 4 games instead of something stupid and ridiculous happening that the meatballs can glom onto and sob about curses and sorcery and all that other poop.

    You can't? The Cardinals were a broken down husk of the team that had been, hobbled by injuries and their unsustainable pitching finally catching up to them. The Mets, by contrast are young and healthy with a great pitching rotation and an offense that has been kicking ass for the most of the second half of the season. How do you NOT comprehend it?
