  1. I remember the talk about him standing further back and the meatballs drooling over how he was hopping less, but the numbers seem kind of inconclusive. FG seems to think he improved in his final full season with the Cubs, but it wasn't his best defensive year with them. BR shows little variance between that final full season and the season before.
  2. Want the most terrifying Halloween costume this year? http://sports.cbsimg.net/u/photos/basketball/nba/img25357287.jpg
  3. Broken feets Noah makes me sad. The dude is so damn lovable (except to 1% scumbags).
  4. He's in a race against time if he listens to his shirt.
  5. How the [expletive] did the Royals not challenge that? They totally got the DP.
  6. Not as decent 2nd quarter BUT SOLID START TO THE 3RD QUARTER, BROSEPH.
  7. At least he only took 2 And considering his vision is screwed up, it's hardly a great time to criticize his 3pt shot. I think we have enough of a sample size at this point...... But why bring it up now? Because he's the guy that even Kyle probably thinks is too negative.

  9. It's all in the gifs, baby!
  10. "I've often read or heard about blood eagle" really should be OMC's new screenname.
  11. Baseball has to earn my love, dammit. Plus it was all anyone here was talking about when it came to sports for a good week.
  12. Fried chicken, beer and video games show a lack of dedication to maintaining quality physical condition. Atleast the choking part shows frustration over an underachieving season and a lack of hustle. Obviously it's still not the right thing to do. But atleast there's a reason behind it that's somewhat understandable. There's nothing admirable about making 10+ million a year and not doing what you can during the season to stay in top shape. Him choking Harper had nothing to do with any of that; Harper ran out the pop-up and would have easily been on first if the ball had inexplicably been dropped. He petulantly didn't like Harper saying earlier that he didn't look forward to getting plunked because Papelbon decided to go all meatball-y and went headhunting after Machado. He was an obnoxious gun-for-hire who hadn't been on the team for two months and his tiny, dinosaur-like brain couldn't process Harper not just rolling over and taking his [expletive]. These were the actions of a psycho, not a "gamer."

  15. I kinda think Derwood hates everything about the internet except this dump.
  16. BRANDON SAID WE NEED TO BE MORE LIKE REDDIT. SPREAD THE WORD.
  17. [rhetorical]Why would the Cubs shop any of their young, cost-controlled hitters?[/rhetorical]
  18. Twitter is awful for discussion. It's a mess to read. It's amazing as a place for consolidating a bunch of news sources and stuff like that, and getting links to articles, but when people try to argue or have discussions on there it's just a cluster [expletive] of unreadable Tweets one after another. After that you have, what? Facebook and Instagram comments? That's like a half step above news article/blog comments as the darkest underbelliest dumbest parts of the internet. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't really see any newer social media platforms that are better at doing what we do than this one. I prefer this, too. We're obviously in the minority. You can disagree with it all you want, but a ton of people basically abandoned this type of format for newer social platforms.
  19. It's because it's much easier and quicker to read and post in discussions about anything via newer social media platforms instead of a dorky old message board. Those of us that are left here are just sad and waiting to die.
  20. I'd rather marry Soler; he's much prettier, and I think I could talk him into opening up a bakery with me instead of ruining the game of baseball.
  21. Same difference.
  22. To be fair, I do really wish I could pee on most of the people that post here.
  23. April 1 - Sept 30 (In pageviews): 2015: 4,642,176 2014: 4,880,690 2013: 4,717,368 2012: 5,458,785 2011: 4,033,182 2010: 5,523,874 2009: 8,592,523 2008: 11,162,870 2007: 12,132,332 2006: didn't have google analytics yet Fundamentally, a lot of people left during the bad years that haven't come back. There are just so many more options out there these days. Facebook and Twitter have sucked so much of the traffic from sites like mine in recent years. Could there be another reason you're not considering? Maybe there are posters that don't like the constant bickering or the way that threads have a tendency to break down into pissing matches. http://i.giphy.com/gnJgBlPgHtcnS.gif
