  1. Someone find a nice, giant version of Baez coming home. I need to finally replace my desktop of Bryant doing the same.
  2. I'd be very, very pleased if he made those mini-Sammy hops a thing. I was also over at my mom's place watching the game with her, and she actually thought his MLB logo tattoo was "cute," and this woman usually loathes tattoos. The world's gone topsy-turvy.
  3. There were several times I was wishing he was manning 2B instead of Zobrist today. Zobrist is still pretty damn awesome offensively, but it's often pretty glaring how limited he is defensively at times. I was thinking this on a double play missed earlier on the replay. Javy would have turned that. And then the one(?) they did turn seemed a bit more nervewracking than it had to be; Zobrist just seemed like he was in slow motion compared to Baez.
  4. Much, much better.

  6. I wanted him to be the hero today so badly I feel like I willed it to happen. The dong didn't even seem like a surprise. Just destiny.
  7. Whoa. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] http://coach2roar.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/canstockphoto9550599_seal.jpg So this Cesar Vargas guy... http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/525x330/alt/570714.jpg ...he's been pretty good so far, and he looks like he knows it. People seem to hate making good contact against him, which makes him ripe for a humblin'. The Cubs have both their own Cesar guy AND a starter with a deer suit: http://www.trbimg.com/img-57277887/turbine/chi-lester-ct0038171664-20160501/1050/1050x591 No contest. Go Cubs! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VXT5L-9GuL0/UeAAuHDfbyI/AAAAAAAAsUU/6zf5vIA9SYc/s1600/biting.gif
  8. Maaaaaaaaybe I'll leave to go see my mom a bit early.
  9. Nevermind that Contreras would have likely been as bad behind the plate, if not worse. It's a weird crusade he's on. How do you figure that? Screw you guys, what's the point of arguing. Because he's basically been described as a work in progress at best right now defensively. I agree, there's no point in arguing that it would have been worth bringing him up for two weeks.
  10. They didn't really have a choice, they lost 2 catchers in a row. Sometimes you have to use replacement level players. He's just mad that Contreras wasn't called up. Nevermind that Contreras would have likely been as bad behind the plate, if not worse. It's a weird crusade he's on.
  11. Meh; Derwood's just salty over anyone who can post in a game thread.
  12. Assumption: the Derwood speciality.
  13. And? I still don't see why you're conflating people like TT or Truffle having conversations over there with trolls that show up simply to try and piss people off.
  14. Why? They're not actively trolling over there; it's like the Cardinals fans that are or have been regular posters here.
  15. It's always fun to quickly check it out when something terrible happens to the Cardinals, so it's been especially fun this year. I am, however, surprised at the number of NSBB posters that also have accounts over there.
  16. Dude, he's not part of that Quiverfull madness. Don't scare me like that.
  17. Sign him for the rest of his life, then the game switches to the DH for the NL within a couple years and the Cubs are all, "bro, I don't know what happened, this is some bull horsefeathers!" while secretly high-fiving behind his back.
  18. Nobody was besides TT. Imagine the valuable knowledge that's pushed out by knowing that.
  19. I dislike MLB's HR distance tracking. I'm sure it's more accurate because they've got lal sorts of tracking technology now, but we've had hit tracker for a long time now and hit tracker says that home run had a true distance of 490 feet which I tend to believe a lot more than 475. Yeah, the exact distance wasn't something I was worried about them figuring out; it was just a glorious monster dong regardless.
