  1. Yeah, the guy was one of the greats, and has a great voice, but most of his announcing is just rambling nonsense at this point and so many people act like he's still at the top of his game. The guy should have retired a long time ago. CUBS WIN. He goes off on such wild tangents during games that you lose track of what is going on. He's basically as rambling as Santo was, but people seem to not notice because he still sounds so good.

CUBS WIN. this sounds like you are describing our own former broadcaster all the way down to the "Cubs win" at the end Ugh, Harry was nowhere near as good at Scully, even when he was at his best pre-Cubs. Basically he was Reliable Generic Announcer Guy before the sauce kicked his ass.
  3. Vin Scully is bad but he's still far from the worst. The Sox already have a ready-made worst booth to choose. i think you're in teh same camp as me on this...i don't hate vin scully at all. i just think he's a senile boring old man as an announcer, and, for whatever reason, the whole baseball world pretends he isn't. 4. Wait, what? Everyone thinks he's a damn good prospect.
  5. My brother got a foul ball pitched by Maddux tossed to him as a kid. I tried to steal it a few times.
  6. I'd just much rather show off a home run ball hit by a really good player like McCutchen.
  7. Wait until you hear my cool story about singing the stretch and waving a W flag.
  8. plus the story of being the guy who didn't throw it back and got heckled by idiots is way better. plus you get to keep a cool baseball out of it. No kidding. Unless you hit a seagull or something, who gives a horsefeathers?
  9. But that's catching a Bryant dong; that's naturally a cool story. The alternative is "I caught the opposing team's dong and threw it on the field! The end!"
  10. A story you can tell in two seconds seems like pretty low standards for "cool."
  11. while you were pissing I was peeing all of the other AB's. I have cosmic control over how well he does with my wang.
  12. The banner is almost perfect, but why did it go back to .com?
  13. Unfortunately it also means no Baez, and too much Sucky Sexy SolerTM Great, now I can't picturing Stupid Sexy Soler in Stupid Sexy Flanders' stupid sexy ski suit. By the way, that "great" was NOT sarcastic.
  14. This really is the best collection of Cubs fans on the internet. http://i.giphy.com/3oriffpGeiF6vnWQa4.gif
  15. I'm not anti-Zobrist. Plus everyone already knows Lackey is a disgusting hump, so it would be redundant. Zobrist is an enigma.
  16. "Join us, won't you? In our scenic municipal park..."
  17. It took me forever to realize he was catching the arrow and not doing something creepy and weird.
  18. Why the quotes? Teams will try to get players extra off days before or after a scheduled off day when they can; seeing as the Cubs aren't in dire straits it wasn't a bad decision at all, especially since the replacement options are more than serviceable.
  19. How'd that work out? Yeah bout like I thought. Your never rest players/rush prospects because of short DL stints thought processes are intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
  20. Well, he lost it for most of last year, too.
