    Brand's obviously was the better player, but not game-changingly so; the Clippers sucked when they had him except for one season. Sure, maybe the Bulls would have been inexplicably better run if they had him, but probably not.

    Damn, and that was a plea deal, too. I mean, horsefeathers the Cardinals and all, but sending someone to jail for this sort of thing seems dumb. Just make him pay a ridiculous fine.

    I used to get free tickets to see them somewhat regularly. First for perfect attendance every year from k-5th or 6th grade, then from a neighbor with season tickets that gave me them quite often. They were fun enough to watch, but I never cared at all about who won or lost. Yeah, I went to a bunch of games there during the 90's; somehow family members were constantly getting free tickets. It was fun to see certain players, but I'll be damned if I can remember ever caring if the White Sox actually won or not.

    I loved Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson (and, kinda randomly, Jack McDowell), but I never let it me slip to actually becoming a fan of the team.
