  1. Holy horsefeathers, Zobrist has been terrible for a while. That blows.
  2. Brand's obviously was the better player, but not game-changingly so; the Clippers sucked when they had him except for one season. Sure, maybe the Bulls would have been inexplicably better run if they had him, but probably not.
  3. Eh; those were REALLY bad teams, and like David has pointed out, we're not talking about that big a difference in players. Best case scenario likely would have just them being less bad.
  4. My favorite Bear:
  5. Sure, like one prefers a solid dump to fiery diarrhea.
  6. I was magnanimous and updated the thread title. Until he tries to take someone out again.
  7. We're still not used to them burning assets off at the deadline.

  9. Damn, and that was a plea deal, too. I mean, horsefeathers the Cardinals and all, but sending someone to jail for this sort of thing seems dumb. Just make him pay a ridiculous fine.
  10. This kid lived a lifetime at yesterday's 18-inning Pirates/Nats game: http://m.mlb.com/video/v939096783/pitwsh-young-pirates-fan-shows-range-of-emotions/?affiliateId=clubMEGAMENU
  11. I used to get free tickets to see them somewhat regularly. First for perfect attendance every year from k-5th or 6th grade, then from a neighbor with season tickets that gave me them quite often. They were fun enough to watch, but I never cared at all about who won or lost. Yeah, I went to a bunch of games there during the 90's; somehow family members were constantly getting free tickets. It was fun to see certain players, but I'll be damned if I can remember ever caring if the White Sox actually won or not.
  12. I loved Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson (and, kinda randomly, Jack McDowell), but I never let it me slip to actually becoming a fan of the team.
  13. isn't zorbrist part of the 19 kids and counting gang? Yeah, but he's one of those Quiverfull creeps or something. Plus he's old as dirt, so whatever.
  14. But does he have rhymes galime and rhymes galilla?
  15. Now this is delicious.
  16. Who else is dropping baby loads besides him and Addison?
  17. If this ends up being the Almora thread, it will almost make up for how my Rizzo thread was unjustly overthrown. Almost.
  18. Pretty much everything I know about it is my brother dealing with it; as much as I'm a slob he's always been in fantastic shape and plays multiple sports, but ever since this developed this he would get sidelined all the time because of the pain. He tried a lot of the short term therapies; which helped alleviate it a lot in his everyday life, but he couldn't play either for very long or not at all a LOT until he got the surgery, and even that combined with the other therapies took a good 6 months+ to deal with it. That much time off at a minimum for a professional athlete is presumably why Noah hasn't done it. This season would seemingly have been a good opportunity for him to have tried addressing it that way. Agreed. I thought if I did some searching I'd find news that he had it done. Maybe he did, but it wasn't reported. There is the risk of nerve issues and heel pain after the surgery, so maybe he was concerned about that. My brother definitely has to deal with the heel pain; he can still play soccer and baseball, but basically stopped playing basketball because of it.
  19. Imagine if your career required running and jumping heavily. Pretty much everything I know about it is my brother dealing with it; as much as I'm a slob he's always been in fantastic shape and plays multiple sports, but ever since this developed this he would get sidelined all the time because of the pain.
