  1. The name of the hurricane is "Hurricane Schwarber." http://i.imgur.com/gJNChSu.gif Sidenote: I am sad that the bad Michael Jordan fashion blog is no longer being updated. The man has been an amazingly bad dresser his entire life; like, what the horsefeathers is he wearing during this sketch? It's like a karate gi-style track suit. That was NEVER FASHIONABLE, even by terrible early 90's-standards.
  2. Could Schwarber have DH'd for Heyward in rf and Arietta hit for himself tonight? And if so, would you have preferred that? No, he could not have. DH is for pitcher's spot only. I feel slightly vindicated at the wave of people revealing that they too didn't know that the DH could only hit for the pitcher like I revealed earlier this season. STUPID SOLIDARITY.
  3. I doubt a cool, young person like Javier Baez has much knowledge of such an out of touch, irrelevant thing. What was he 9 then? DEPRESSING FACT: Javier Baez was born 2 years AFTER "Do the Bartman" came out. Unless you're talking about the human being Bartman, in which case I have nothing to add.
  4. Blame it on the Derrek Lee shirsey that I inexplicably still had and had to wear for all 3 after they started winning.
  5. He'd probably flash that million dollar smile and say, "Yeah, I'm a big fan of SImpsons, thay almost funny as me." I doubt a cool, young person like Javier Baez has much knowledge of such an out of touch, irrelevant thing.

  7. Admit it: that part got you crazy turned on, you electric freak, you.
  8. If this means Willson is on the bench again, I will not be pleased. Logical arguments otherwise be damned, I want him in the lineup. He better be catching, Joe.
  9. It's kinda cute how this implies the Bears have any kind of agency over their inevitable sucking next year.
  10. Moot point, but for the sake of discussion, Mojo pls. I'm flattered, but I'll be in Chicago and odds are I'll forget to have it up in a timely fashion. Fred simply took my spot and in the bizarre chance we need another started, I say just move to the next person after Fred/me.
  11. I was stuck listening to the radio, and it was unbelievable. He was our best hitter last night. He's amazing. What was Zobrist, chopped communion wafer?

  13. Hooray! Pull one out of your ass, Jake, and prove me wrong for really, really wishing Hendricks was pitching tonight.
  14. I wasn't expecting/hoping that my game thread turn would come up so quickly in this series, so I'm not on the road yet and can actually start the game 2 thread; should I, or does someone want to have Fred start it?
  15. There's no valid reason to direct any vitriol at a player simply for underperformance. Especially a hard working, A+ personality like Jason Heyward. It's preposterously childish, meatball behavior. Almost as meatbally as saying that a hard-working, A+ personality player should be exempt from all performance-related criticisms. No but seriously, all I [expletive] wanted to know was why he's treated differently than the other two. You guys seemingly equated me saying that he should be held accountable with the idea that I hate this player on and off the field. Way to take one thing I said and blow it completely out of proportion.
  16. This is some kind of amazing "guys, get a load out of what a real sloppy meatball would say" post, right?
  17. Wrigleyville bars are for dumb dildos anyway, so staaaaaaay away.
  18. Uh, it's a big city; pretty sure the whole place isn't going to be swamped because of this.
  19. Looking better than everyone else is literally the one thing Soler does better than the rest of the team.
  20. Oh man, this sent me down a rabbit hole looking through that moron Vlahos's posts on there. After thousands of posts (from what I can tell, all whining about Theo's "plan"), over years and years, his last post was on July 6, 2015. What a miserable person. The BCB logo looks like some kind of twisted, inflamed testicle. SB comment sections are baffling. That's all I have to add to this nonsense.
  21. Works on multiple levels.
