  1. Who da funk is Tall Guy; they all look like shrimps ever since Sean Marshall left.
  2. I'm all for him getting starts over those first two fartknockers, but Happ's got an OPS over 1.000 for at least 2 weeks now.
  3. Sure, just "right now." He had a .744 OPS on July 24. He's been awful since then, though. He was putting up at least a semi-respectable season after re-working his swing. But, now he's fallen into his old habits and he's as bad as he was last year. Just a blip in the anchor that will be his contract.
  4. It's bad enough that the Cubs are willing to hire dirty centaurs, but it's even worse when they send out an even dirtier reverse centaur on the mound.

  6. Yeah, that's an all-time classic. I figured all the comments here were overselling it, like he took a bouncing ball glancing off his face or something, but nope: just getting flat out clobbered by a fly ball and Hawk could not possibly give less of a horsefeathers.
  7. Are the Cubs likely to use Avila and Tivera in a pretty strict platoon? Avila is clobbering RH pitching this year, and Rivera has been pretty damn good against lefties (though in a much smaller sample size).
  8. Blass vs. Baez:
  9. Weird haven't seen him post much hope everything's ok Didn't he get banned this time?
  10. Yep. Javy swung at a 3-2 that bounced in front if there plate. It got away from Lopez a few feet to his left but not far enough to warrant Baez reaching. Lopez kind of froze and then realized he should throw to first but it was far too late. It was like he didn't realize it was strike 3. I'd like to think the Cubs can take credit for leaving him dazed with all of the foul balls they were rocketing into his gut.
