    Like, one of these anonymous dummies basically flat out said, "uh, yeah, give me the terrible guy over the guy with some success and some talent." I'll bet his face was twitching from the dead half-smile plastered on his flop-sweaty face while he said it, too.

    Ahhh, the whole "bad fit for X system" is a bunch of horse horsefeathers as soon as anyone spends 5 seconds look at the complete dregs and wastes of meat who make up these backups. This has, like, 5% to do with his football ability and 95% due to the PR he brings with him, yet these chumps can't even be upfront about that to the point that they do this wimpy anonymous crap with the same rehearsed RG3 excuse.

    Yeah, the dude's not some kind of political savant across the board, but let's face it: the people hating on him probably don't even remember the Castro bit. It's all about how he "hates the trooooooopsflageaglecountryfreedom!!!!" And I agree, there's no formal or even handshake agreement to not sign him; thee wasn't with Bonds, either. But these things happen pretty easily among a small group of rich people who tend to have similar mindsets.

    Skiddish Bears are why they REALLY got rid of the white uniforms (yes, I know that doesn't really work because they still use the white pants, but WHATEVER).

    Well, they literally haven't worn the white on white combo since the disastrous week 1 in 2009, where cutler threw 4 or 5 picks in his debut and urlacher was lost for the season. i actually miss that. Ah-hah, that's the one.

    I could have sworn there was one of those rumors all over the place years ago that Urlacher hated a certain alternate jersey color or uniform combo because of a particularly disastrous game or injury that occurred while wearing it/them and that's why whatever it was went away.

    My overly simplistic take is that they were facing humps serving up meatballs (not the hot take-y kind), so they shifted into overly-aggressive mode to take advantage. Like, there's times to be patient, and then there's, "holy horsefeathers, these guys have NOTHING, so I'm SWINGIN'."
