  1. I've this isn't true then I'm gonna kill Yu. Wait. NO.
  2. lol what other stuff "Well we can't offer Addison Russell but you could have [squints at our top 30] Bobson Dugnutt?" [expletive], that is a good callback.

  5. Dudes, we are REALLY underselling what a horsefeathers show this Q&A was: https://deadspin.com/derek-jeters-marlins-town-hall-meeting-sounds-like-a-be-1821451587 [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  6. No idea; it was definitely in his "John Mayer is a creep" phase, which is forever.
  7. The brace thing is interesting; I wonder how much they could throw off someone not used to wearing one. I'd have to imagine quite a bit, especially if you can't stop focusing on it.
  8. Followup fun fact: a roommate of mine grew up with two of his closest friends being the bassist for The Bravery and the bassist for Good Charlotte. That's kind of impressively terrible. weren't you the guy who knew the girl with the weird john mayer story, or am i thinking of another poster? Nope, that was me; she was dating alterna soft-rock never was Howie Day at the time, and Day and Mayer were nobodies playing shows together and she says that on the regular Mayer would come back to the dressing room where she was waiting after performing and would just sit or lay down on the ground and just stare at her in silence until someone else came into the room.
  9. forgetting about them could be considered An Honest Mistake something something does he rock his iroc z? Followup fun fact: a roommate of mine grew up with two of his closest friends being the bassist for The Bravery and the bassist for Good Charlotte. That's kind of impressively terrible.
  10. Fun ska fact: Remember the mostly forgettable early aughts band The Bravery? Well, some of their members had previously been in an even WORSE band. That band? A ska band. A ska band named...SKABBA THE HUTT.
  11. Worrrrrrrrrrrd.
  12. That grunge look is so hot these days, donchanow.
  13. Theo is obviously not a closer. If Yu only knew the power of the Drunk Side.
  14. Please change the thread title to, "YUUUUUUUUUUUU/GOT WHAT I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEED."
  15. Using the Japanese media for that? Why wouldn't Theo just use Gammons as his shill as he usually does? This is some real deep state horsefeathers The FCC horsefeathers and shutting down AOL IM are all part of the plan.
  16. This is gonna be doubly annoying when he inevitably turns out just to be, at best, Yet Another Dude at the plate.
  17. Maddon... ...Maddof. Maddon... ...Maddof.
  18. And now he's crazypants. COINCIDENCE?
  19. Of course in Mr. DoomBoner's virtual reality we lose all of our good players and Bryant is just okay. But yeah in my different versions of RTTS (always choose to be pitcher since you can get more seasons in) this happens to me too. Bryant sticks around and is really average, Schwarber has been on the Phillies, Cardinals and some other team by like 2019, Rizzo is gone around 2020 and has been on the Orioles, Giants and some other team Russell and Javy stick around but Russell seems to turn in to a bench player and some create a player always takes over at SS, Almora usually sticks around too and ends up being okay. Hah! It's got a pretty clear MO. Contreras ended up on the Diamondbacks by 2020, too. Baez and Russell are still there, but they're basically platoon players with whatever cheap, mediocre MI the AI decides to sign for 1-year contracts. Basically the Cubs won the WS again in 2020 thanks to my pitcher basically being Ohtani fully realized on the mound and at the plate and Heyward confusingly being Mike Trout-esque.
  20. Thanks for the update, Derwood
  21. The 2020 version of the Phillies in my Road to the Show this time has their lineup anchored by Harper and Schwarber. And Rizzo is on the White Sox. Bryant is still on the Cubs, but he's mostly just OK, while Heyward is still there and inexplicably turned into a hitting superstar. It's pretty fucked up.
