Yeah, that's why I always think it's goofy that so many people just assume something terrible MUST happen to Kim; how about she and Jimmy just have a falling out like people do and they're each doing their own thing? Given what she's already been able to look past, it seems impossible that there is a thing that he could do within character that would completely ruin them. So that's exactly what's going to happen. NO WAY, MAN. SHE'S GONNA GET HOOKED ON PAINKILLERS AND THEN SPEED AND HEROIN AND THEN GET INTO 6 MORE CAR ACCIDENTS ON HER WAY TO GETTING [expletive] BY NACHO.

It really is impressive how well they do the whole prequel thing, even with little things like this. It doesn't feel cheesy or forced, and instead just makes it seem like in the end that both series combined are going to feel like one giant seamless epic. I go back to what Rhea Seehorn said about Kim's arc - basically the way that they are building this universe, she could even be in the background during the BB timeline, and made it sound like that could totally work. It made me really confident that the showrunners were going to horsefeathering nail this thing. And they have; I think it's better than BB so far. Yeah, that's why I always think it's goofy that so many people just assume something terrible MUST happen to Kim; how about she and Jimmy just have a falling out like people do and they're each doing their own thing?

I'm willing to be proven wrong that they have a tradition of such post-game celebrations, but given their repeated antagonism across several seasons plus the events of this series, it's not a hard conclusion to draw. Thinking it's likely something they did ONLY to mock the Cubs is along the lines of Schwarber Fan making ridiculous assumptions about players' and teams' performances just because in his head he thinks it's something they "always" do against the Cubs. Teams doing goofy horsefeathers in locker rooms post-wins is hardly something unique to the Cubs. I just think it's funny that the dudes usually coming down on folks for being ridiculously pessimistic about the Cubs when they suck turn around and think the Pirates dancing in the locking room MUST be some slight against the Cubs. Holy overreaction.
